Actually, I have a love-hate relationship with Matrix. Don't like the origin, but she's got a lot of interesting things she can do, including emulating Kryptonian powers. The shapechanging is a game changer.
Here's a picture from that era that captures the potential. This is when she was working for Lex Luthor (who was a good guy, at least as much as any corporate mogul is a good guy) in this series.
She was Luthor's girlfriend, which got a bit touchy given she liked to assume various forms to jazz up things with him. But given she could look like absolutely anyone you can imagine, and clone any powers, she was fertile ground for some fantasies. As was intended by the writers.
They had a really good artist during this period.

Except that when you use super-mathematics, your answers are 10 times greater than the ones you get with regular math.

Matrix did interesting things within the mythos, and is almost certainly the inspiration behind any new scheme to tinker with Supergirl, but it's hard to believe the higher ups authorizing this experiment think that that last go-'round was a money maker in the long run. OTOH Supergirl has the EXACT same problem as Wonder Woman suffers from, so maybe I should be rooting for a successful break-out from life as an iconic flying brick. An encounter with some aquamarine or chartreuse kryptonite later and she might actually bring something different to the table than the space so ably filled by her cousin.
Dunno. But I'm not hopeful.
