Female Super Saiyans have existed in Dragon Ball Z fanfics and fanart for a long time, but there has never been one in the official anime/manga, UNTIL NOW! A recent promo for the "Universe Survival" arc of Dragon Ball Super includes 2 or 3 seconds of a petite, dark-haired girl suddenly bulking up into a huge amazon with spiky green hair while manifesting a golden aura. The hair color and the color of the ki aura, as well as the sudden expansion of her muscles, are indicative of her being the Legendary Super Saiyan like Broly from several Dragon Ball Z movies. Those few seconds of her transformation are pretty much all the info available on her, though there is speculation that she may be from Universe 6(I think mainstream DBZ/DBS is Universe 7) No word yet even on her name. Also, here in America we're over 70 episodes behind the Japanese broadcast of Dragonball Super. The most recent episode broadcast on American TV was episode 3, over in the Japan they're around episode 77, so if you don't want to wait a few years to see her, you'll have to watch the series online.
