Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka

New anime scheduled to stream subtitled on Crunchyroll starting January 11. The trailer, found here seems rather promising.

Asuka is a former magical girl who's hung up her fuku to be a normal girl. Well, mostly normal. She's an ace at sports, first scene of the trailer shows her doing a dunk in basketball, and a classmate then talks about her impressive marathon and swimming times. When some creep knocks down a classmate of hers on the sidewalk, Asuka puts him in a hold and on the ground in 2 seconds flat.

Some government guy tries to recruit her for a team he's putting together but she isn't interested. However, when a bunch of crazies are shooting up the area with automatic weapons and her classmates are in the firing line, she appears in full regalia, protecting her classmate by stopping the bullets with a honeycomb-like force field. Her shield stops bullets and even an RPG fired at her, she then proceeds to slice up the attackers, I think with a sword. Looks like she won't be the only magical girl in the series as several others are seen briefly in the trailer.
