Batman v Superman leaked trailer
Some takeaways:
- Loved the direction of the movie they seem to be taking with the events of MOS having a direct impact on this movie. Those idiots who were claiming that this is not a sequel to MOS have been proven very wrong.
- The Batwing!!
- The dialogue at the end between BM and SM. Affleck's voice sounds creepy inside that suit.
- Soldiers kneeling before SM. Don't know the context of the scene yet but that was interesting.
- No WW in this trailer (not that I expected her to pop up since I expect her role to be small in this movie)
I have my free passes to see the trailer at my local IMAX theater on Monday. Can't wait for that! Only thing is that I hope I can get in. The event is at 7 and with work and kids I won't be able to get there until about 6. Hope that is enough time....

This is going to be dark and rich and be a clear continuation of MOS. It's going to take Superman places we haven't seen before. He's going to need Bruce and Diana to find his way to the light.
Of course, that's all my speculation based on the trailer. But I think this is going to be a more realistic Superman. Realistic in that he's not going to be welcomed with open arms by many people. He's a vigilante power beyond the law or any conceivable method of controlling him. He could scour the Earth of human life and nobody could stop him.
But, of course, that's not what he's about. But he's apparently going to go to a dark place before he figures that out.
I'm encouraged. My hopes for the movie are rising. And we haven't even gotten to the parts about Diana.
I wonder if they will underplay her role in the trailers and promotions, and then let her surprise us with a vital and forceful presence in the movie? To let everyone focus and obsess on Supes and Batman before she comes in and helps to sort things out.

Who whould have thought a movie called Batman vs Superman would be primarily about batman vs superman.
In all seriousness this does look good for what it is- as been said Superman was originally pitched as a villian by Shuster, and that kind of tension tends to be in the best superman stories, and if they can make a godlike superman who one gets tension over his existence from-that could be intresting maybe more then a slug fest.
But in that kind of movie-what does Wonder Woman precisely do. I am going to guess we are going to see a glimmer of her in the next trailer, with maybe trailer 3 focusing heavily on her.

Perhaps the alpha males get hung up on growling at each other, and Diana comes in and shows them a way to find peace together. Probably by enlisting them to fight the big bad guy as a threesome. Or so I hope.

I'm leaning towards thinking this, too.... but I couldn't help but think "phrasing!" when you said, "threesome"...

That would be pretty interesting too... <grin>
Somehow I don't think the audience is quite ready for that. But if they're going to do it someday, why not Diana Prince, Karen Starr and Clark Kent. That would be an earthshaking threesome... literally. But somehow I don't think Amazons are big on sharing.

It also had 5 seconds of additional footage added to the end. In it, SM is knocked backwards by something, he gains his footing and starts charging back to whatever knocked him back. Cut to BM in his armor and he starts charging also. Right before it ends, we see a classic shot of the two of them about to collide.
Oh, and I can't forget the best part. Everyone who went gets free tickets to an advanced screening one week before general release. Score!!!
