This film looks not too bad

who am I kidding, my head just about exploded when I saw the trailer.

I'm looking forward to it. In no small part because it can stop being a thinly veiled remake of A New Hope carried out by a man who seemingly cannot get it through his thick skull that the sky is not a big-screen TV displaying events from other star systems in real time...

I'm sure I'll enjoy it simply because it's Star Wars. For better or worse, Star Wars is a cultural phenom layered in nostalgia that makes the movies exempt from critical analysis.

They are good simply because they exist. I save my critical analysis for meatier subjects. I save my silly grins for Star Wars. If I live long enough, I'll be enjoying SW12 the same way.
