For the record.
I am choosing to move on from this pen name as it represents for me the wild, hormone-soaked thrashings of my artistic youth. I make no apologies, and I now wear my 'young and dumb' history on my sleeve.
It builds character.
I've heard a lot of rumors on the subject of my demise since my return. I'd like to thank Greg for his monumental hosting efforts. His services will long be remembered in this genre.
But no, his actions towards my younger pen name proved only one thing: my effect on him was vastly greater than his effect on me.
At the time, after a run of over 18 months of very high volume artistic output, I had simply overstretched my inspiration. I was repeating, and grasping for new and fresh material. I decided it was time for a sabbatical to refresh my inner muse. It was right about then that Greg broke his 'no censorship' policy and singled me out for deletion and banning--presumably in anger.
I was disappointed at the time, if not heartbroken for all the good times that ubergirls represented to me up to then. But Greg had nothing to do with my 9-month 'walkabout'. That came from inside me, not from without.
It was merely an unfortunate set of timing, nothing more.
So regardless of your opinion of me (be it angelic or more likely of the 'cockroach' variety) know only this: the inspiration and flow of my art responds to the actions of no man's hand, not even mine. I am difficult, if not impossible to 'kill'.
And my inner muse is returning, refreshed...and humbled:

Having finished my master's degree in aerospace engineering, and having spent a year after that simply 'airing out', I am now free in my spare time to begin taking my hobbies more seriously. I've enrolled in a 'digital drawing and painting' course at a local jr college and hope to begin building my artistic skills again from the ground-up-- this time a bit less 'self-taught'.
I acknowledge I am but a scribbler with the pencil. I am endeavoring to become vastly more polished, if not 'cutting edge', even 'extreme'.
I now understand that I more 'engineer' stories than write them, and even the few engineers in my audience have little to zero interest in unraveling my work to marvel at its small parts and complex wiring. I am taking pains of late to learn more about how to write rather than engineer a story. My hopes are to provide in the near future a smoother, sleeker, and more palatable product for your reading pleasure.
Thank you all for your patience. Please continue to bear with me during the decade or so I've planned for my now formal studies in art and writing.
Love to you all (even Greg),

Seriously, though, I have no idea about your past work, as I'm fairly new to the scene, but I liked "Dropping By", as I mentioned in the workshop 2.1 discussion. Excellent use of the short word limit, unlike some of us who gave up on even trying to meet the limitation. I hope you'll keep writing and sharing your stories, even if you don't always receive the praise you'd like for them.

Arrogant? I can see how I would appear to be, and quite. In the past? Ludicrously, I admit. I'm over that part of it...mostly. Even so my resume still renders all insinuations of my stupidity quite mute. It's quite liberating, really.
Wisdom is another matter entirely. I'm still working on that. Call me a fool if you wish. I will not object. But stupid I ain't.
The workshop was a set-up really. The average length of my two-hundred or so stories thus far is three pages. Short attention span theatre is my thing. I come up with dumb things like: "I can create and destroy galaxies whole in a single sentence--just did." And such. It sounds cool, but in reality I just don't have the endurance much past that.
I do appreciate the praise. I take it in lue of cash. Honestly, it is all my work here has ever been worth. I will endeavor to suffice on what I get, my groceries being paid for elsewhere.
Thank you kindly for your interest. I will do my best to make your inquiries worthwhile.
Love,
-White Paw

Two points. First: NOBODY CARES!!! You came here for the art, not the artist. Let's get on with the show...

I would hope that no one on this website would consider taking calculus in high school (or being an amateur radio operator for that matter) as being un-cool. I am not a rocket scientist, but my father was. He worked in radar guidance launching spy satellites on Atlas missiles from Vandenberg AFB.
Amen man. I would also hope that no one would consider shortwave radio listening as being un-cool. I mean where else can you get the news from your favorite countries. Sure, there's the 'net. But you get tired of reading and want to listen to something sometime, right? Plus you'll hear music artists that you'd never hear in the States.

I deleted a few accounts because in the decommissioning process I had zero time to moderate; that's all. With close to zero discretionary time, expediency and effectiveness mattered more than fairness - we're dealing with recreational website forums not capital trials. The drama on a web forum amounts to a tempest in a teapot.
Best of luck with the new writings.
