Hey, everyone! It's been awhile since ol' Clarybelle's flaunted her super-self across the pages of the Library. I'm still currently working on the latest full lentgth Superwoman adventure which has been on hiatus mainly due to laziness, but in the meantime, in oberservation of Man of Steel's release today, I've given you guys something pretty unique: A retro commercial for Kellogg's Pep with Superwoman coming to the rescue in the middle. Since Pep was one of the sponsors for the Superman radio show. I apologize for the length, but it is a commercial after all. I hope you enjoy it.
Now I can only opine that I'm not going to go see WOMAN of Steel instead..

Really A fun story. I got to say i am a big fan of the Superwoman series. You go a great job of getting the times write and want to see more of it. I like particular the Clara Louis stuff. You get a good job of getting the tone of the golden age "Rommance" that wasn't really a rommance.
That said as a critique i would have liked to have more ceral content in the story, and learn more about this pop ceral products and there many advantages over other brands of premade breakfast food. It could have used more actual comerical stuff
Castor
PS Though i haven't seen the movie yet, i would love to see A woman of steel story from you. You have a talent for going through time and finding intresting material to do with it.

Thanks for the kind words, Castor! I simply didn't feel like adding the other stuff so there you go.
As for MOS, I walked out after the first five minutes, so I wouldn't really feel like doing a story based on it.
Thanks again!
EDIT: 300 posts and an upgrade, YAY!

Congratulations on your "promotion" and thanks for your story -- a nice vignette of Superwoman in action and an amusing take-off on vintage TV commercials. (Though I think it would have been a cute touch if Clara had "powered up" on Pep before flying off to save the plane.)
Here's an actual Pep commercial from the 1950's, courtesy of YouTube:
There was a series of commercials where the "Cheerios Kid" would power up on Cheerios to save his girl-friend from various dangers:
Someone should give those the SWM treatment!

Thanks, Argo, ol' buddy! Yeah, I briefly considered that but decided against it.
Agreed, someone should.
I've already spoken to Argo about this, but there's one particular ad that steams me. They BOTH eat the strength inducing Cheerios, and then Kid saves the day while Sue covers her eyes! Unacceptable! It's a real shame that it took until the 80's for her to get in on the action. /Rant Over.
