Happy birthday Michelle

Michelle is if nothing else a great story about the connection of the everyday with the superhuman-which every good comic character i think plays with a little bit. Your not the only author on the site who does that, but your good at it, of creating an office worker with super powers, and letting her remain an office worker..

Its not an epic tale-but thats a compliment. Its never been a story about big smashy super battles, but always seems to find a connection with its main character and her isssues. You want her to be happy, you want her to remain human. As an author i know it can be hard to write stories like that, but it can be rewarding.

It was Brad Bird when he was making the Incredibles said that it was easier to have 10 minutes of superbattles then one scene of a mother stroking her daughters hair. You do that well.

Of course the trick of stories like this is how do you end them. I know endings are hard. Motivation is hard. But i belive in you. your a good writer and i respect you.

I can honestly say this. If it wasn't for Michelle, there would be no Camille/Solaris. I actually draw a lot of inspiration and ideas not only from Michelle but Bad Becky as well - the latter being how her powers worked. There is just something about a superwoman that is not over the top or grandiose that is just so appealing to me and I honestly wanted to emulate that aspect as best as I can.

So, thank you njae for everything.

Thanks everybody, it's really touching to see that people celebrate a small anniverary like this. Guess that this means that I really will have to get back to the writing board in order to resume my work on part 12.

I have always enjoyed the 'Michelle' stories and I hope they continue!
