As some members seem to think my stories about a Sverkcheloian girl are their cup of tea I'm hereby going to publish some facts about the planet my little heroine comes from.
****************************************************************************************************************
Nature of the Planet
Sverkcheloy is a lot bigger but first of all a lot denser than Earth. Its diameter is about five times longer than Earth’s while its mass is 10,000 times bigger. This means the gravity of any object is 2,000 times bigger than here; an object does not need 4.5 seconds to fall from a 200-metre-high tower but only about two milliseconds. As the gravity is bigger the air pressure is much higher, too which results in harder conditions for living. Humans and most Terrestrial animals could not survive on Sverkcheloy.
There are different climate zones, but as the correspondent sun is orange in general Sverkcheloy is colder than Earth. Only about one third of the planet is populated and the population is less dense than on Earth: On an area about fourty times the populated areas of Earth there live just about ten milliards of people.
There is relatively less water than on Earth and therefore the continent, not the ocean, is coherent. There are, however, three big oceans, two of them cold and one warm and a lot of smaller seas and lakes.
Most parts of the continent are rocky and have little vegetation, but in the fertile parts (where some 90 per cents of the population live) there is almost as much variety of animals and plants as on Earth. The main difference is that due to the high gravity there are no flying animals and due to the high air pressure most animals have armoured skin, most fruits hard and thick shells and the people’s skins are much harder than ours, too.
Kru’hat, the highest mountain, is about 30 kms high. On the top is the main broadcasting station of the planet.
There are four moons circling around Sverkcheloy. Two of them are populated, on one, Kri’an, about two thirds of the diameter of the Earth, there had lived Aborigines before Sverkcheloians arrived. Te*k’ch is now populated, too and forms a province of the Empire, not a colony. On the small Tab’ta there is neither water nor enough air to survive for a long time. Fuf’r, the biggest moon, with a diameter twice as big as Earth’s, is even more hostile to life because of its steady fire explosions that can come near to Sverkcheloy’s atmosphere. Every animal or human got by these explosions will die in an instant. The energy produced by these explosions is the main energy source on Sverkcheloy.
A Sverkcheloian year takes about two and a half Terrestrial years, a day about 27 hours. However, time goes by more slowly than in our universe, which means when one hour passes here a person living on Sverkcheloy only feels 20 minutes passing.
As there are four moons with different circling times there are no months, although some constellations (three moons together on the sky) are public holidays. The year has 811 (every eighth year 812) days and is divided in ten terms.
The People
When in their original shape Sverkcheloians are somewhat bigger than humans (women averagely 2.00 – 2.20 m, men 2.10 – 2.40 m). Their skins are green, their hair can be different colours. Their skins are, as said before, harder, too, although not as hard as they would be on Earth. The teeth of any Terrestrial predator would not be able to hurt a Sverkcheloian’s skin, but on their home planet there are some predators that have hard enough teeth.
On their planet Sverkcheloians cannot fly. They can run faster than we can, although not nearly as fast as they can fly in the Earth’s atmosphere. They reach about 60 mph and can hold this speed up to two hours.
In their lungs they can hold compressed air for quite a long time; therefore they can survive some days in the space without breathing. Their senses, especially their sight, are sharper than ours. They can zoom objects in or out before their eyes and look through thin material.
They can also read minds at a certain level and avoid others from mind-reading. They cannot, however, manipulate their own kind’s minds.
Another difference is their telekinetic abilities: They can move little objects from a distance of up to half a metre without touching them. It is supposed that the fact that Sverkcheloians, according to their feelings, emit hot or cold radiation from their bodies is connected to their telekinetic ability, too.

State and Politics
Sverkcheloy is governed by a king or queen who is elected for life but can be voted out of office by the parliament. In this case a referendum is hold. If more than 50 per cents of the people agree with the parliament the king or queen has got to leave his or her office and a new one is elected.
Although theoretically every Sverkcheloian who is at least 10 years (25 Terrestrial years) old, has the Great School Exam, served at least one (2.5) year in the army, got a qualified professional qualification and worked at least one and a half year (about four Terrestrial years) in the relative job can be elected, usually a member of one of the so-called “Royal Families” is.
The king or queen appoints ministers and governors, but to do that he or she needs the consent of the parliament that can also make suggestions.
The parliament consists of 400 – 500 persons who are elected by the citizens of the provinces according to their population. Although there are no official political parties like in most countries of the Earth, Members of Parliament who share similar opinions often build groups and make agreements among them before the discussion in the plenum starts.
Provinces on Sverkcheloy and the two populated moons have their own parliaments and presidents. Planets belonging to the Empire are ruled by appointed governors who represent the central government’s interests but can settle their internal affairs among their people.

General Society
Equal rights between men and women have been standard for a long time. This is not the case with people from conquered planets who need the respective governor’s permission to leave their planet and have no right to vote.
Most Sverkcheloians feel, due to their highly advanced civilization and their superior intelligence, superior to the conquered planets and their people. While deliberately killing or hurting people from the colonies is considered a crime most Sverkcheloians have no problem with making the Aborigines work for the mother planet and even fulfill the Sverkcheloian soldiers’ sexual desires.
The army carries a lot of authority and although there is no general conscription most people spend about one year as soldiers. Science and exploration projects are often run by the army, though sometimes sponsored by private companies and nearly all well-known scientists have high military ranks.
A Sverkcheloian’s name consists of the given name and the parents’ names, which are only used to distinguish namesakes. Also academic titles and military ranks are used together with the first name (“Professor Sarah”, “Captain Jason”). Superiors are sometimes addressed with titles to translate with “madam” or “sir” by their subordinates.

Family and Love
If a Terran could go to Sverkcheloy he or she would surely be astonished, if not shocked, by the sexual attitudes Sverkcheloians show to each other: Neither couples having sex in public nor groups among which sex partners are exchanged nor even families accompanied by the father’s girlfriend and / or the mother’s boyfriend are unusual sights.
In contrast family bounds are very strong. The worst offense to a Sverkcheloian who has children is to call him a bad father / her a bad mother. Divorce is possible but considered bad at least before the children are grown up, while marriages are more contracts to educate children together than anything else – Having sex with other partners is usual.
The most different institution in respect to Earth is that of Hu’k**y’e (male) or Hu’k**y’a (female), a relationship between two persons of the same sex which is much more than a close friendship: The hu’k**y’e /-a shares all secrets of a person and has as much the duty to care about the partner and his / her children as the wife or husband has. The conjunction between Hu’k**y’e/-a s is celebrated in a ceremony similar to the wedding. When somebody dies the Hu’k**y’e /-a is a heir as wife / husband and children are. In most regions Hu’k**y’e s /-a s have traditionally the right to allow forbid each other the wedding to a certain partner, too. There often is a sexual relationship between Hu’k**y’es /as, too.
Sometimes youngsters call their best friends hu’k**y’e or hu’k**y’a but this is not official and considered inadequate by more conservative persons.

School and Education
School takes four (for higher qualified careers five) Sverkcheloian years. Due to the length of a year there are classes that start their school year in winter and others that do this in summer. As Sverkcheloians are much more intelligent than humans the level of the schools is much higher, too – the second class has more or less the level of an A-level-exam. In each grade students learn at least one new language and from the third grade on they do poly-dimensional equations.
Traffic
Sverkcheloian spaceships can do about a hundred times the speed of light, teleportation can even be as fast as a milliard of times the speed of light. So, although Sverkcheloy is averagely about five millions of light years away from earth, a teleporter (or a spaceship able to teleport) can come near our Solar System in three days, although they cannot, at such speed, get exactly to one point.
Due to the high gravity and air pressure flying needs much energy and is only practiced to leave the planets. On Sverkcheloy (or, at least, in the higher populated areas) a system of buses and trains which are much faster than their Terrestrial equivalents (up to 3,000 mph) exists. Private cars and even spaceships exist, too, but they are quite expensive and therefore less people have their own cars than on Earth.
Sports
Physical fitness is estimated high and therefore nearly everybody practices at least one kind of sport regularly. The most popular kinds of sports are:
 Running (there are 28 official distances)
 T’haoa (similar to a kind of American Football with five balls and three invisible hiding zones in the field. Sometimes strikers can hide there with a ball and suddenly run out while the defenders are not watching. So strikers with good reactions can be as successful as good runners or fighters.
 Dao’sh*ee (similar to MMA) and other kinds of Martial Arts which are not at first practiced to be able to defend yourself but because they are considered a good exercise for all muscles.
 Telekinball: A tennis ball is moved telekinetically. It is played in single, double and team matches. Touching the ball is a foul and penalized with a point for the opponent.
 U’t *shea (Literal Translation: Snowgliding): Like skiing, but with obstacles and objects to transport with the runner.

Music
Less people play musical instruments than on Earth but concerts are visited by lots of people and the best musicians get a big authority and salary. The most known instrument is the h’ch’at, a kind of three-dimensional harp. There are also some wind instruments, the smallest pipe only slightly bigger than a human index finger, the biggest one more than four metres long.

Religion
The experience that their compatriots were venerated as gods on less developed planets caused a big change in Sverkcheloians’ religion. Today less than one per cent, according to the latest polls, believe in personal gods. In contrast slightly more than half of the population believe there are forces that keep the universe running which science will never be able to explore or explain. About a fourth believe there are higher beings than themselves somewhere in the universe but it does not make sense to venerate them; another fourth believe there are no higher beings, forces or powers than Sverkcheloians have or can explore and create, at all.
However, the borders between these faiths are not always clear. Lots of people think e.g. there are forces actually unknown but once they will be explored.

Neighboured Planets
There are about 100 inhabited planets in the Sverkcheloian Empire. The most important ones are Ignita, the so-called “Fire Planet”, which is known for its fire lakes. When it is near enough to Sverkcheloy (as it belongs to a different solar system the distance can vary from ¼ light year to more than ten light years) to allow a journey without teleporting, lots of tourists from Sverkcheloy visit it. The Ignitan Fires are not hot enough to cause serious damage to a Sverkcheloian and the Ignitans are weaker and their culture is less developed, too, but they are one of the few people from conquered planets who can build weapons which can kill Sverkcheloians. Therefore the governor has to take care to avoid rebellions.
Harassa is between half a light year and one light year distant from Sverkcheloy and therefore can mostly be reached without teleporting. It is a less dense planet and therefore one of the few planets in the Empire (and the nearest one to Sverkcheloy) where Sverkcheloians are able to fly. Therefore and because of the great monuments it has got a lot of tourists, too.
The Harassans have no meanings to withstand the Sverkcheloians and venerate them as gods.
Zolda is the planet Sverkcheloy fought its most terrible wars against. All Zoldans’ minds are control by one machine and they make their subdues obey this machine, too.
The Sverkcheloian army won the last war but was not able to completely destroy the Zoldan central organism. Therefore they drove the Zoldans back to their planet and since then have watched the atmosphere around it carefully to avoid any attacks on the Empire.

Pretty cool stuff-i really do love how you think this out.

Almost all stories on here are Science fiction, but its great the detail you put into all of this, and creating this actually alien character. this post is a nice touch in a series that has a lot of nice touches.

Lisa’s Life on her Planet
Lisa is at the beginning of our story 6 ½ Sverkcheloian years (about 16 Terran years) old and enjoys her summer holidays before her last year at school. She is the only daughter of Captain Jason (AnnaRichard) and his wife Kira (DarleneRobert). Lisa’s mother, who worked as a business administrator in a company that furnishes houses, died of cancer (i.e. a quite similar, however faster acting disease) when Lisa was 4 ½ (eleven) years old. Her father is an explorer who is working with the army in a captain’s rank. Although he enjoys his job and he is proud to be a soldier it sometimes concerns him that he has too little time for his daughter, especially now during her adolescence.

Other important relatives are Lisa’s uncle Fred (her mother’s brother) and his wife Lisa, her mother’s former Hu’k**y’a, after whom Lisa was named. Uncle Fred works as a kind of engineer; his job is saving computer data against copying, a quite important job on a planet where it is possible to multiply nearly everything that is not especially code-protected. Aunt Lisa is an inspector in the financial authority. The couple has two children, Lana, five (twelve) and Robin, 3 ½ (nine) years old.

As her father is often away in other galaxies Lisa has attended a boarding school since her mother’s death. She usually enjoys school and is especially good at data analyzing and programming, which she wants to do professionally when she is adult. In contrast she is only average at languages and rather bad than good at theoretical mathematics. As for sports she practices Dao’sh*ee in the so-called “Radovan style” and often, but not regularly, plays T’haoa, too, mostly as a striker because she can run quite fast but is not particularly strong (at Sverkcheloian level) or good at aiming. Although – or as – she is bad at telekinesis she adores people who are good at it; her favourite sportswoman is Sina Lara-Keith, a very good professional Telekinball player.

Lisa’s best friend, who will probably become her hu’k**y’a when the two of them are adult, is Sonia. The two girls already address each other in mails as hu’k**y’as or with terms only used among hu’k**y’as or spouses like “my only beloved one” or “my dearest one for all eternity”.
Unlike Lisa Sonia is especially good at languages and dreams about one day working for the government of one of the planets conquered by the Sverkcheloians– although her mother is a maths teacher at their school – and on the T’haoa field usually plays in the back as she has a very good general view on the field.
The relationship between Lisa and Sonia includes sexuality although two girls apart from each other have no homosexual interests – but the more in boys.
