It's totally within Putin's wheelhouse to use this approach. One must remember that he spent about 20 years in the KGB, developing "legacy" (backstories) for agents he sent into the West. He was focused on stealing technology trade secrets to modernize both East Germany and the USSR, both military and commercial. The KGB was always the master of "honey pots" targeted at Western technology players (engineers) who tend to be a bit geeky and are often susceptible to having some hot chick falling for them.

I'll leave it to the reader to decide why Putin (apparently) thought that strategy might also work with Trump. 
But using a translator like this who might have a few other "special talents" is vintage Putin.

The artist on that first image really got to what PG is like, at least IMHO. She's not soft and kind and gentle in the "rescuing kitties out of trees" way of SG. Karen is very much female, but she comes alive when she's drawn into a fight where she needs her great strength and toughness to survive. A fight that she unapologetically loves. To be able to let lose is almost orgasmic for her.

Was she ever in a scene that involved a serious fight with Kal El?  I would envision an extended brawl where neither of them could take out the other as the fight goes on and on, perhaps flattening a huge factory or whatever in the process. They can soak up whatever the other throws at them. 

Anyway, this costume suggests a little of that attitude to me.

estaba ensimimado, cuando una voz dulce, con un acento parecido al sueco, me pregunto si tardarian mucho en abrir el colegio. yo a levantar la mirada, me encontre a una figura que iba vestida de ropa vaquera pantalon y una chaqueta sbierta que mostraba, una camiseta de color rojo con un dibujo de una especie de ave fenix y bajo el dibujo la frase " Yo soy de Velor, De dónde eres tu Arions". a los pies llevaban unas zapatillas de color tan blanco que parecia ir solo con calcetines. su figura era tal que la ropa que llevaba parecia como si fuera pintada. yo levante la vista hasta que me encontre con esos ojos tan azules, qué parecían dos trozos de cielo, encuadrados en una cara dectal belleza, que contrastaba el color brobce de lapiel y el rubio oro decsu cabello.

yo conteste lo mejor que pude a costa de un esfuerzo ya que la vista de sus ojos me dejo sin aire y el corazón parado. Diciéndole que faltaban 10 minutos. ella con una sonrisa aun más deslumbrante mexdio las gracias y se marcho con tal rapidez que crei que fue un espejismo.
yo no pude seguir leyendo. no me podía quitar de la cabeza esa mirada.
al poco abrieron y me fui a colocar en la fila que corresponde con mi curso. aguantando las burlas de mis compañeros y rezando pidendo paciencia.
tras llevarnos a la nueva clase. yo fui a un pupitre doble cerca de la pizarra, por mis problemas de vista. y mientras esperaba a que empezara la charla de comienzo de curso. yo tenia la cabeza gacha fija al suelo. cuando de repente unas zapatillas blancas aparecieron en mi campo de visión y otra vez esa dulce voz acaricio mis oidos preguntando si el asiento de al lado esta vacio y si podia sentarse. yo me levanté tan rapido que tire silla mesa y contestaba que si es ésta libre y podia sentarse. 
mientras aguantaba la burlas de mis compañeros recogía las cosas tiradas. ella sonriendo me ayudo y tras sentarse se presento como Kara Zoel, y se había movido a G**, por trabajo de sus padres. yo tras pedirle perdon ledi mo nombre.

tras la charla de los maestros, el tutor pidió a Kara que se presentara. Ella lo hizo y tras decir su direccion (era mi nueva vecina), fue como un impacto que hizo, para mayor diversion de mis compañeros que me cayera de mi asiento, bueno casi que me cayera. Ella con una rapidez me cogió en el aire y mientras caia la silla con estruendo. yo me asombre por que con un brazo me levanto y mis pies colgaban un palmo del suelo. y a la vez en los músculos del brazo se formo como un balón de fútbol. en un segundo me puso de pie. y mientras recogia el asiento y me sentaba entre risas de los compañeros ella me guiño y disimuladamente empezo a mostrar sus músculos. 

tras acabado las risas y la regañina de los maestros. Kara termino su presentación. 

al acabar las clases, mientras todos la rodeaban pidiendo cosas y ella diplomáticamente decia que no. recogía lmis cosas y con la cabeza gacha me iba marchando. cuando un fuerte brazo me agarró y levantandome unas pulgadas del suelo y oi una voz decir Gui...**, me acompañas a casa. tras asentir poniendome colorado como un semáforo. 
nos fuimos. Entre burlas e insultos de mis compañeros, por celos a mi suerte.

para mi fue el comienzo de un sueño.

I will never forget the day she arrived, with those beautiful blue eyes that burned her heart.

It was the middle of September and a new course was beginning.
I was sitting on the skirt of the vslla. waiting for the school to open. and to ease the wait I was reading a Supergirl comic. I had it camouflaged inside the notebook, which we carried to take notes the first day.

I was absorbed, when a sweet voice, with an accent similar to Swedish, asked me if it would take a long time to open the school. I looked up, I found a figure who was dressed in denim pants and an open jacket that showed a red t-shirt with a drawing of a kind of phoenix bird and under the drawing the phrase "I am from Velor , Where are you from Arions ". at their feet they wore slippers so white that they seemed to only wear socks. her figure was such that the clothes she was wearing looked as if they were painted. I looked up until I met those eyes so blue, what seemed like two pieces of heaven, framed in a face of such beauty, which contrasted the brown color of her skin and the golden blonde of her hair.

I answered the best I could at the cost of an effort since the sight of his eyes left me breathless and my heart stopped. Telling him there were 10 minutes to go. With an even more dazzling smile, she thanked me and left with such speed that I thought it was a mirage.
I could not continue reading. I couldn't get that look out of my head.
Soon they opened and I went to place myself in the row that corresponds to my course. enduring the teasing of my companions and praying asking for patience.
after taking us to the new class. I went to a double desk near the blackboard, for my vision problems. and while I waited for the beginning of the course talk to begin. I had my head down fixed to the ground. when suddenly white sneakers appeared in my field of vision and again that sweet voice caressed my ears asking if the seat next to me is empty and if I could sit down. I got up so fast that I pulled the table chair and answered that if it is free and I could sit down.
while enduring the mockery of my companions, I picked up the thrown things. She, smiling, helped me and after sitting down, she introduced herself as Kara Zoel, and had moved to G **, because of her parents' work. After asking for forgiveness, I gave him my name.

After the teachers' talk, the tutor asked Kara to introduce herself. She did it and after saying her address (she was my new neighbor), it was like an impact that she made, for the greater amusement of my colleagues, that I fell out of my seat, well I almost fell. She quickly caught me in the air and as the chair fell with a crash. I was amazed because with one arm I got up and my feet dangled a foot off the ground. and at the same time in the muscles of the arm it was formed like a soccer ball. in a second I was on my feet. and while I picked up the seat and sat down amid the laughter of the companions she winked at me and surreptitiously began to show her muscles.

after finishing the laughter and scolding of the teachers. Kara finished her presentation.

at the end of classes, while everyone surrounded her asking for things and she diplomatically said no. I gathered my things and with my head bowed I was leaving. When a strong arm grabbed me and lifted me a few inches off the ground and I heard a voice say Gui ... **, you walk me home. after nodding, turning red like a traffic light.
we left. Between mockery and insults from my colleagues, out of jealousy to my fate.

for me it was the beginning of a dream.

Nice little vignette... enjoyable. 

I don't know how many times a picture has sparked me to write a vignette or even a short (or long) story -- hundreds of times easily -- which is why I collect, enhance and share pictures that inspire me. Glad to see I'm not the only person who responds this way.

I've always had this idea that we should have a workshop sometime that is driven by a picture that everyone is asked to write a story around. I think it's a powerful technique, particularly for this genre.

Heidi Klum.  Apparently this photo was taken a dozen years ago, but she recently posted it on Instagram.

 

"WOW!" He had been right all along. There WAS more to Helena than she had been letting on. Helena was more than something special after all. She was Something Super Special in fact!
Her blue costume was clearly visible under her clothes. Maybe she had slipped up by accident in revealing her true self, maybe she was showing him on purpose. Perhaps she wanted him to know! Either way, Her Super Secret had now been revealed...

He never had a choice or stood a chance to have a say in the matter, and Holy Helena! She could move fast!
