Chain-breaking, bullet-deflecting... MISS FREEDOM!

14 Mar 2011 19:50 - 14 Mar 2011 21:32 #22072 by boomstick_si
Next Global Crisis proudly presents its latest video, featuring the formidable Miss Freedom!

Here's a short trailer (the full video is over eight minutes long):

By far the most powerful heroine in the NGC universe, Miss Freedom is at her glorious best in this video. Elite Force have invited her into their famous Training Room, to demonstrate her incredible powers. First she must face a weaponized robot, which attacks her with a heavy iron chain. But this poses no threat to the mighty Miss Freedom, who seizes it and breaks it in two. The robot opens fire on her, but the bullets simply bounce off her chest. Next, she faces a dangerous psycho murderer - unsurprisingly, his punches have zero effect on her abs of steel. She sends him flying with her super-breath, pinning him to the wall. Can anything stop her? Perhaps the final challenger 'Blitz', a trainee heroine with a super-strength of her own. It's brunette versus blonde as this feisty new recruit puts Miss Freedom to the ultimate test. Has the legendary Princess of Virtue met her match? Or will our Champion of Justice emerge victorious?

This short film, shot in High-Def, features original costumes, talented actors, high-quality visual effects, sound effects and music to enhance the action. It was made specifically for YOU, fans of mighty heroines and members of the SWM community. We listened to your feedback about our other films, and this is the end result. So, if you adore live-action superheroines doing what they do best - and looking good, too - this film is for you!

Please remember: if you support us by buying this film, we will be far more likely to produce another in a similar vein. We had a blast making it, and we sincerely hope you have a blast watching it.

Thanks,
NGC Team

Having seen this, I echo Mo's sentiments! Very well done with great HD quality! Hopefully more like this with heavier influence on uber-powers rather than simply "girl fighting" are on the way from NGC. Nice work, boys!

Bought it. I agree with Lfan, well worth it.

Something I thought would display the girls' level of power is little things like blurring movement and some great sound effect work.

Best superbreath scene in a video I've seen to date :-) Around 20 seconds worth and it was done very effectively. If you do something like that in more videos, I'll buy those ones for sure. I'm tired of a one or two second glimpse of superbreath. I appreciate the sustained use of it for a duration of time like you've done in this video.

I thought it was good. She has a great arrogant attitude as she destroys her opponents.

I know that you're being pulled different directions by the "peril/bondage" dudes and "power" guys so I appreciate being thrown a bone now and then.

Thank you all for the kind words and suggestions!

Visual effects are something we're looking to hopefully expand upon in future. We've done some visual gags before, such as Athena's 'healing hands' in Episode Four, but aside from some split-screen in Episode Three this is the first time we've used composited effects. We appreciate they are labour-intensive and not easy to get right, and there's a danger they can look unrealistic and pull the viewer out of the story. As we grow and introduce new characters we will be looking to do more challenging visual effects.

As for the "power or peril" debate, as I said in another thread, it's really all about the story for us. The action should merely support that. Most of our videos have a balance of both as we feel it's more interesting story-wise to have heroes fight hard for their victories, and sometimes lose. But more often than not, they prevail.
