Hey everyone I just wanted to tell some of you that I will be attending the Comi-con in a few days. None of you know this but I happen to work for an ubergirl and her name is Vampirella! I'm not drawing the comic or anything like that but I handle Ebay and Web purchases of her books here in NYC. Harris Comics is paying for me and my Editor to go out to San Diego which is awesome.
The best part of this is on Saturday, at the con, I will hopefully be seeing an advanced screening of The Bionic Woman.
Wondering also if any of you will be at the Comi-Con.
-Take Care

OK, time to put your money where your mouth is, Skillz!! How bout a brief synop of how SDCC was? I know there are also at least 1-2 other SWMers that went as well so please feel free to share stories, opinions, pics of the event! Lots here (well, at least me) would love to here any news/tidbits/sightings you came back with....

BTW, Bionic drew an awesome Ms Marvel pic that I just added a little coloring too -- a true SWM team effort! You can check it out on my DA page: larafan.deviantart.com

Peace
ElF

lfan, I like the job you did on the pin-up. Good work. Sorry I recycle my art sometimes (some of you have seen that pin-up before as a different character)

Anyway it was the first comi-con I went to and I loved it. I met my tri-fecta of favorite artists there - Art Adams, Adam Hughes and Travis Charest. I bought some cool stuff like this mini Godzilla statue that has incredible detail and captures his likeness exactly from Godzilla vs. Megalon.
I got some pics of ubergirls in costume like Black Cat, Black Widow, Mary Marvel, Witchblade and Catwoman (real hot).

Oh and I saw the Bionic Woman pilot which some of you probably have downloaded already from bit torrent, haha! I'm not crazy about it. The acting was good and even the story I guess, but to me it's not BW. Who knows, it may get better.

Well that's it. San Diego is a beaut but it feels good to be back in NYC.

Take care everybody,

Skillz'

Nice team up you two! Love the art and the crisp clean colors.

Re SDCC: I've been more and more tempted to go in fact this year I got as close as looking at flights. It might be fun to next year have a presence.

At least stroll the floor w/ one of my models/characters or if I go over the top: get a table with some merchandise if I ever go down that road to at least cover the cost of the trip. Wonder how they feel about multi-media content ~ well maybe start at a smaller con. :)

Skillz: What was the fan/crowd reaction to BW? Was it positive or a little down/skeptical like you?

I'm not really the go-to-guy for reviews about TV shows so don't take my word as law. The crowd was pretty positive though.
