Just something I've thought of...

Ok, you know, with Superhero's and Superheroine's we normally either see drama, angst, violence or smut. And there's nothing wrong with that at all, but... well.. seeing the same thing over and over again can get boring after a while. Not that there are no new idea's coming out, but... argh... I'm getting off topic here. Ok, so when I was playing DC Universe Online a while back, I realized that your character, whomever he/she is, was drafted. Really, those of you who've played it sit back and think and then tell me that's not true. Anywho... I've been stuck in writing limbo for a while, and thought to my self, 'Hey why not write a fan fic based on a DC Universe Online character that feels that way, like they've been drafted?' And that comes to the crux of my post here, what we've been missing from Super type stories has been HUMOR. Sure, there have been comic relief characters, but the LAST pure humor comic I remember reading was Major Bummer. And he didn't last too long, although that was no surprise.

Anyways, getting back to my point and onto topic here, if I do manage to get rid of my writing woes and and actually write this, would anyone here care to read it? I plan on it being a very humorous piece and with a slightly to very sarcastic view of the DC Universe based on the DC Universe Online Game.

Well, no that's I've said my piece, and before I can actually write this, I think I'll actually, gasp, have to seriously play the game first. Then I can worry all about starting to write about it as well.

I need to work out what I want to write. An answer to a question might help me. Did the strike workshop have to be a television series? I've got a bit of an idea that would fit that workshop, but it's from a movie series and I don't think it would quite fit the rest of the themes, though it would probably come close to one or two.

Anon, if/when I do write this, it will be both humorous AND sarcastic.

Sorry my reply ended up in the wrong thread. I love the idea of a humorous superheroine story. If I thought I could write a decent comedy story I might try it myself.

That's alright. And sadly, to me at least, comedy is about all I can write. Well, that's not entirely true, what I truly mean is I can only write humor stories. Sure, there can be action and adventure and stuff, but if the core of it ain't funny, then it always seems to fail for me. Oh well, what can you do in such a case but play to your strengths, huh?
