Next Fleischer Superwoman

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm just about ready to start work on my next installment in the Fleischer Superwoman franchise. This time, I've decided to go back to basics and adapt the storyline from the first Kirk Alyn serial where he battled the villainous Spider Lady. I thought it was really interesting for such an early Superman villain to be a woman (especially one that knew his weakness). There may be an interesting twist or two in the story, so what do you fellas think?

Are you flipping the Spider Lady to make her a male villain?

No.

Sounds really cool.

Early comic supervillaness where a lot of fun. There was something of there ability to chew the scenary and cackle that was both kind of cheesy and great. Most of them where more over the top versions of Film Noire villanesses which where already pretty over the top.


Its one of the sad things about modern films and comics-you don't see a lot of Moll types. The only really juicy villanesses these days are in kids movies.

I am looking forward to it. I remember the serial very well. Wasn't a fan of Kirk's portrayal though.

Is it in the realm of your possibilites to make Clara/Superwoman reveal her true identity to Louis? When you published "the parasite" you gave hints that this could happen in a future episode. Various ideas came to my mind when I thought about to what scenes this could lead..(no sex for sure!). Also with the parasite episode for the first time you revealed where Superwoman gets her powers from or at least what makes her super, it could be interested and exciting to explore this topic further- at least to me it would. It was sort of devastating and bewildering at the same time how fast Superwoman lost her energies to her enemy, if she reveals her true self to Louis maybe he could advise her to try to get more energies into her superbod just in case the parasite makes a 2nd appearance, this doesn't necessary has to lead to a change of her looks at all, at least not that dramatically.

OK so this are my wishes, one final one I want to speak out loudly: PLEASE DON'T MAKE USE OF KRYPTONITE! It's the greatest turn off as far as the superman/superwoman stuff goes.

Excuse me, but with all due respect I've been asked this question over and over again, and I'm getting tired of it. No, I'm sorry, that won't happen any time soon, because all the suspense would be gone and I don't feel like it. I'm only planning to do that near the end of these stories and I already have a scenario for it.

Well the suspense could also be found elsewhere, the parasite teaming up with the spider-lady- a challenge to Superwoman, and a scenario where you wouldn't be in need of Kryptonite at all. Remember that She doesn't necessary have to loose all of her powers at once- I imagine a struggle between the spiderlady, the parasite and Superwoman with the spiderlady trying to get her into a situation where she is busy with both of her hands and the parasite can come close to her..but Superwoman never would kill the parasite- they have a strange relationship because the one person has all that the other person can ever desire!

Kryptonite isn't all that necessary..

Sorry, but I'm already sick of the Parasite, and I won't be doing another story with her for a while.

Cool to hear the next baddie is going to be the Spider Lady. Should be a good match of criminal brains vs superpowers. Looking forward to it Dr. M

Think that would be great!! Still have the original box set (VHS) of Superman vs. Spider lady and Superman vs. Lex Luthor. Did not think anybody remembered the early Superman, before George Reeves.
