What about an Idea Pool?

Okay this is something that has been bouncing around my brain for a long while.

One of the curses of being a writer is when you have too many ideas in your head, elbowing each other for attention, and you really don't know when - or if - you'll be able to give all of them the attention they need. I think that many other people around here know this feeling. Even worst, sometimes you start something, but don't know how to finish it and a half-written story remains for ages hidden collecting electronic (or even real) dust.
So I've been thinking that it might be better to put these ideas out, maybe someone else will take them and do something better with them than me.
The idea is to start an idea pool, or archive if you prefer, to allow authors to put forward their unused concepts, half-done stories and the rest. A sort of public domain.
I know that this might be hard, since many of us tend to be very proprietarily of our ideas, but I think it might worth the shot.

So, what do you guys think?

I have quite a few stories that i have started and never finished-some from lack of time, loosing contact, some from not knowing the ending-it would be cool-this morning i had a story on the train about a telekentic homless woman that i am not sure i am going to have the time to write.

i would make a specific other comment thats related . A couple of weeks ago happiest and shadows talked about updating friendly favors with more material-thats great.

However it would be nice to have that new content pushed to the front page, to maybe reread the story. Not sure with the database how that whould work work-i myself make small changes all the time to my stories, but that shouldn't count.

As for the Library, the database doesn't push old stuff on the frontpage by default, I don't know if there's a way to change it but, unless the editing is very big, I wouldn't recommend it. Considering the number of small fixing and changes I did over the last two years to some entries to fix format and stuff the front page would be clogged in no time
