I have no idea who wrote this but it appeared in my FaceBook feed, enjoy, Fats

This black kryptonite has allowed me to see so clearly. I was trying so hard to play by the rules of human society... to show compassion to innocent and guilty alike. To be a beacon of hope. But what did it result in? Supervillains with ever escalating atrocities and body counts. And we do the same thing, over and over again. We stop them, we send them to the law enforcement officials. And then they're back on the streets a month later, causing more mayhem. It's an endless pointless cycle.

But it doesn't have to be. The next villain I see is going to be a pile of ash from my heat vision. The one after that... frozen solid by arctic breath and shattered. The one after that I'm going to carry into space and watch as they simultaneously boil and freeze and suffocate. If I haven't made my point yet, I'll start getting creative. Tearing one in half vertically... swatting one's head off and sending it into orbit. Carrying with me as I fly at full speed and letting air friction burn and shear them apart. At some point, they'll come under control.

Ah, but what of the ineffective heroes, those I've worked beside and fought this never ending and pointless battle with? The biggest threat is my baby cousin, Kal. Black kryptonite will open his eyes as well, though. And if it doesn't... well let's just say he won't be getting in my way. The others... they will either join me, step aside and stay out of it, or they will be brought into line by force. It will sadden me, as I do still care for them. But I have bigger concerns than friendship.

I have a world to save... and it's about time I did it the right way... the way that will work. The way that will have a lasting effect. Madmen and monsters will no longer harm the innocents, or they will pay for their transgressions with their lives. I love you all and I will save you. I will bring order to this world... all you need to is behave yourself... and kneel. I will save you all.
