One thing I wish was more common in stories around here is superwomen with a background like Wonder Woman; that is, a super powered woman from some kind of hidden society. I’d really like to write something like that, but I’m not really sure what kind of place it should be. I have a few ideas of my own, but does anyone else have any that strike them as interesting?

I'd say no. If I read the initial post right, the idea is for a character to come from a society with completely different cultural norms. While Julia from LaPorte has adopted some of the norms from the Weald, she remains culturally from Earth.
