An idea, but almost no idea what to do with it

The idea is basically that all the mythological pantheons (Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Aztec, Incan, etc) exist, but they‘ve each agreed not to personally get involved with humans anymore.  However, the agreement also stipulates that each pantheon is allowed to have one Champion on Earth, who’s somewhat based on Shazam in that they get a fragment of the power of each god (major god, at least) in the pantheon, but need to transform to access it.  How exactly that works depends on the Champion (for example the Greek Champion transforms by saying “Alpha” and changes back by saying “Omega,” whereas the Aztec Champion needs to shed blood-theirs or someone else’s-in some capacity) and the power transfers to a new host when the current one dies (I’m thinking they have to be descendants of the pantheon’s historical worshippers, but apart from that I’m not sure about criteria and whatnot) .  Anyway, the Champions aren’t the only superhumans in this setting, but they are among the most powerful.  I’m not sure about what exactly is common knowledge about them, but there’s a secretive organization devoted to keeping their power out of the wrong hands, and at least one group trying to take it for themselves, but I’m not really sure why.

(If any of that sounds familiar that may be because I was somewhat inspired by RWBY.  Great show.)

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I like the idea, since I'm a big mythology fan. Unfortunately, there are quite a few stories out there along these lines that are much better than anything I could write. This novel is one of my favorites that uses the idea that the various pantheons exist--and happen to be living in America these days:

This one is pretty good too. It centers mostly on the Tuatha Dé Danann, but it includes gods/goddesses from many pantheons as well:

Your take on it is a bit different, though.

I'm thinking an Olympics of God's and Goddesses. Of course, the Wonder Women kick the God's a**e due to a secret revolutionary formula they keep to themselves, much to the dismay of the confused gods. Just an idea. : )

Huums, hope they don't do drug testing. Needles don't do good with gods I find.
