David C. Matthew's Starburst!

I came across his work just now.
I do not know how she gained her strength and powers, but she still maintains the innocence of a lab assistant who may have been caught up in a lab project that has achieved amazing unexpected results!
The researcher guy is obviously in jealous awe of his colleague Cynthia Robinson's amazing new physique and abilities, telling her she could just walk in and rob a bank if she wanted to.
I wish there was more on her background...

Love that he's still making stuff.

I searched for the weights of standard size military tanks and you are talking in the range of 50 to 60 TONNES.
But does a weight differential of 10 tonnes really matter when she can lift and hold all of that ON ONE HAND from one extended muscular arm? (With her superhumanly strong legs to provide the support.)

Anyone got the time or ability to create a story off the back of this. Would be a great origin story to add to the library.

Cynthia Robinson was dutifully working in her role as NASA space lab assistant when the phone rang. Her scientist grandfather held out the phone;
"It's a call for you Cynthia, some military chief again."
She reached delicately for the phone. There had been a few 'accidents' when she had picked up previous calls, only for the phone to be demolished in her newly discovered grasp.
 "Oops, sorry....again!" she would blush.The lab had been taking hits for different types of 'phone bills' recently!
The phone receiver remained intact this time.
 "Yes, this is Starburst, how can I help? ..."
"It's stuck in a minefield you say! How heavy is it?...50?... "
 "Oh, that shouldn't be a problem these days" as Cynthia looked down to her side and flexed her other arm where superhuman muscles now bulged out.

"Professor! I have to go! The army's latest tank weaponry is stranded in a minefield during operations and there is no other way they will get it to safety without my help!"
With that, she was gone...
The tank looked GINORMOUS as Cynthia approached from the air.

 "Hi, reporting for duty sir! How heavy do you think it is?" she called up to the tank commander in the turret.
"Umm, we're fully loaded, so you're looking at, give or take, 55 Tonnes. We're sorry for calling you out and wasting your time here. We realise that there is nothing you can do for us now."
Starburst in her uniform strolled around to the rear of the craft, Slowly and carefully examining her 'challenge.' One petite, feminine hand attached to her muscular arm reached down to test how heavy this could be to even budge...the back of the tank was raised easily! Cynthia adjusted her grip and 55 tonnes of military machinery angled towards the front end! The almost nonchalant rise of the tank from just one of Cynthia's arms, pulled and forced the 55 Ton behemoth into her recently enhanced boobs.

There was nowhere else for her seemingly toy-like tank to go and there was only going to be one winner in this battle! Her Superhuman Muscles were not going to stop contracting upwards and outwards for anything, but her Super Enhanced Boobs had other ideas! The raised base of heavy steel groaned as curved indentations began to form where the power of her lower ample curves exceeded her own expectations.
​​'Ooops' she giggled to herself, 'Oh well, it is a little slighter damage to the tank than letting it get hit by an exploding mine!'
Slowly, methodically, she walked both hands under the behemoth structure to the centre of the base, where she could fully raise 55 Tonnes of tank with one solitary, outstretched, super muscled arm.
'This is a doddle' she smiled to herself.
Cynthia, in her Starburst outfit, called up to the astonished, open-mouthed commander in his tank turret;
 "I will fly you out of here! Where do you want me to take you?"

There isn't a picture or drawing ever made that can't benefit from some individual enhancement in Photoshop. Which is always great fun and satisfying. 

This is not the genre for realism, but rather for imagination.

I wouldn't want to take on trying to enhance DCM's drawing work - the guy is on his own other level there!
I've just tried to enhance Cynthia's written description of taking on a mere tank...

E.T.A. some drawings deserve an imaginative description of the scene - and DCM's Cynthia has caught me - hook, line and sinker!

Cynthia was ' weighing up' her new physique after her accident in the lab transformed her from a petite assistant into someone much, much more...

"The weightlifter behind me thinks he has power and strength, but he hasn't got a clue! This here is REAL Power and Strength!, in my SuperMuscled Arms, in my magnificent natural new breasts., to my great new thighs

​​​​​"So, do you fancy having a try and armwrestle with me, buddy?" she confidently asked him.

"Umm..."
The guy behind her, with years of experience in the gym decided to back off and give a serious 'pass' on her offer...

 
 

These sample pages are impressive writing and drawing! I hope he feels like making a complete comic book of the story. The tropes have been done many times,. But, he's got some interesting characters and nice art style to show us his version of the tale.

He maybe gives a clue in the top right of his drawing of her origins, with what looks like an explosion in her lab at work that engulfs the mild-mannered lab assistant, possibly with extra-terrestrial rays hitting her body?


 

 

It had taken Ten Long Years of training at the gym for the bodybuilder to work up to his current level whereas, for Cynthia Robinson, standing posing and smiling in the foreground, it had taken her Ten Seconds during the one-off incident at her work as laboratory assistant.
She hadn't managed to make it behind the protective screening at the lab in time. Her body was bombarded with, and absorbed an overdose of the newly-tested particle radiation energy streams during the experiment. Time seemed to stand still for.Cynthia as she was overwhelmed with Power, but seconds later she gazed around her radiation enhanced body in amazed wonder...Cynthia Robinson had achieved an unparalleled level of Superhuman Strength from the now defunct radiation generator in her lab, that would never be matched again...
At her photoshoot, with just a casual flex, her Super Enhanced Muscles were now wildly expanding, almost exploding upwards from her biceps. The bodybuilder and photographer gasped in awe at the sights.
"Do you still not fancy having a try at that armwrestle contest with me, guys? Both of you together at the same time, one fist on each hand here, or all four of your fists in this one hand, if you want?" Cynthia asked them.
