hi all,
After much searching I've worked out what is wrong with the "Remember me", the non sorting of "Stories by Author" and hundred other problems with the site. I wont bore you with the details but it's all to do with CSS. To sort it out I'm going to have to reboot the site, what that will mean is the site will go off-line on Friday at 11am (GMT) and will go back on-line at 12pm (GMT).
Over this week I'm rebuilding the site on my home server with the most up to date version of all the elements of the site. This will be the last major update to the site for the next 6 months. All future updates will take place incrementally and not involve the site going off-line.
What will this mean for you? You will lose nothing, all posts, all PM's, all pics, all avatars, all stories will be there all I'm sorting is the files not the database.
I know that this transition from the old version of the site to the new version of the site has not been easy, but it has been mainly painless and will help SWM go for another 100 years.
Thanks again for your patience on this and with all that has happened.

Actually the trasition has been pretty smooth as far as I can tell. It's not perfect, but a lot smoother than many others.

Yeah man no complaints from me. Really what the hell could I complain about seeing I'm not paying for anything? Keep up the good work, and thank you all for the bad ass website.

Agreed - there was another thread where you apologized for being slow/late or something - the first thing that came to mind was there was no way you should be apologizing.
The new functions and look are worth any inconveniences we might put up with - and my thanks continue!

hi all,
After getting over the flu and a little operation i'm now happy to get the site reboot under way, the reboot will be taking place on the 10th April 2011 at 12pm (BST).
The site will be down for about 2 hours this will allow me to upload the new site which is quite large.
No files or posts will be lost.
