New Template

hi,

You might have noticed that we are sporting a new template, this new template is to help make the site better, by reducing the load on the server and delivering a better look for mobile devices.

There are a few bugs that I’m going to fix over the next wee while, namely the menu and logo locations and the forum's new post box, if anyone else spots a problem please met me know.

It looks nice, but I have a few little notes about it:

1) in the new stories tab, it might better to have just one line between each title instead of two, it would make it better fitting with the forum tab;

2) in the message compser for the forum the avaible moticons are now displayed vertically, which is weird;

3) I'm not sure if the header is supposed to look that off center or is my monitor.

OK, there has been some work done on the template the logo (masthead) has been blown up but this is a temp thing while I look at the css for it.

The menu is now in it's final position, some design work will happen there, the issue with the forum will be resolved soon, again it's a css conflict with the template, the mouse over on story titles will also be sorted soon, again it's a css conflict (see the pattern developing)

I’ll also implement a new story editor soon as I’ve had a number of complaints about how poor it is.

One thing I have to say about the new template is the speed it loads and the ease of reading input boxes and the stories, it's a good template just needing tweaks.

on the front page the only thing left to sort out is the masthead, i'll get the forum issues sorted after the masthead is fixed.

You might want to take a look at the paypal module, it just went all over the place.

OK forum formatting issues have been sorted and the FP is 95% there.

Donations module is back to where it was.

Yesterday I was working on a a couple of stories and stubled upon two new problems:

1) the front end editor layout is a bit screwed

2) the front end editor doesn't save the changes

While the first isn't much of a problem, the second one is a bit problematic.

Also the new menu bar tend to hide the first couple of line of the first post, not much of a problem, but I thought it was worth reporting.

the editor is going to be replaced and on the issue of the menu bar hiding stuff, can you post a screenshot as i cant recreate what is happening.

on the menu covering the top's of forum posts, it's something that would require extensive changes and more time than i have, so at this time i'm not going to do anything, thanks for letting me know about the bug.

I haven't tested the new editor yet, but there's a mojor bug in the Library section. This is how the titles are currently displayed.

i've taken the new editor off and played around with the old editor settings to see if i can make it better.
