Chat room

Hi all,

I'm going to restore the link to the IRC chat room for the site, I’ll be doing that later on today, i'm going to remove the Chat room on the left hand side of the screen (the IM system will remain) as it's not great and not as useful as I thought it would be.

I've been thinking that this could be useful for the site to boost interactions as the stats for the number of pm's sent and IM's sent is way down from this time last year, hopefully having a chat room might turn that around.

Unless I hear a tide of people saying no to this idea I’m going to get it done.

I've used the chat room every now and then, but I ahve to agree that it has seen very little use.

We have to be a little more proactive on that side people.

i've camped out in the room, but have it minimised so i wont see if people join or not, so if you drop in please say hi.
