"The Towers' Syndrome" is complete! was created by papayoya1
Hi everyone,

First of all, I wanted to say that I've felt very happy and encouraged with all the feedback I've got since I started posting "The Towers' Syndrome", my first superwoman story, back in January. Thanks everyone!

Since then, I've managed to keep a pace of a new chapter a week. This was partly because I had a few chapters of the story already written when I started posting, and also because I had some more time to write back then. I've been pretty swamped with work these last few weeks and eventually, time has caught up with the material I had. I'm still writing and I think it's safe to say that I will keep posting on a fairly regular basis, but starting this week, I will need to space chapters a bit more between them. I'll try to post every couple of weeks, but I cannot make any promises right now. Chapter 9 will be very long and it's almost done, but I decided not to trade-off quality for speed (at least, as much quality as my limited skills allow).

I know I left the story with quite a cliffhanger for those that have been following it, but just let me tell you that Chapter 8 will not be the last action-packed chapter in the story. If things go the way I have them planned, Towers' is barely in the middle of the story and there are still plenty of things to happen.

Having said this, I'll get back to work on Chapter 9, to get it out as soon as possible!

Thanks!

So if you misspelled quality, does that mean you rushed it?

Thanks! I had actually also used myself to the weekly posting pace, but this week I had to acknowledge that I could not keep it. I hope that when the new chapters come (quite soon), you will feel that the quality was good enough to be worth the wait, in any case!

Wow! I don't think I deserve the praise, but thank you anyway!

With all the encouragement I'm getting I'm certainly leaning towards writing more superwomen stories in the future, once I finish Towers' (which will still go for quite some time).

Thanks again!

Chapters 9 and 10 are up!

Chapter 8 was very action-packed but ended in a sequence that gave way to a slow down and more backstory. This backstory extends through both chapters 9 and 10, so I decided to post them together. I hope you will enjoy them!

I'm already writing future chapters; I hope that I will be able to continue posting in a more or less timely manner. Grand scale action will be back soon!

Chapter 11 is finally up! In it, Sienna meets Agent Black. I hope that you will enjoy it!

Chapters 12 and 13 are going well, so I hope I will be able to keep a good enough pace of posting from now on :)

Hi all,

9 months ago I posted here for the first time and published the first chapter of my first ever superwoman story (or at least, the first one that's somewhere else than sitting in my HDD): The Towers' Syndrome. Today, I'm very happy to see that I could bring the story to completion. Chapter 16 and the Epilogue are up and close the plot arch of the story. I had a storyline planned since the beginning, but you never know how things will end up until they're done.

I've been incredibly happy and encouraged with all the feedback I've received during the process. I'm especially grateful to all the help of Larafan, who has been key to the story thanks to his ideas, encouragement and contributions that have made the story better.

I hope you have enjoyed it. I certainly have.

I also hope that at least someone will be happy to know that I already started working on some other projects in the genre. More to come about them soon!

Thanks again! And please, let me know how you saw the story overall now that it's finished!

Many thanks for your contribution.  This was absolutely one of my favorite stories in the genre in some time.  It was a pleasure to read.  So fun in fact, it was torture waiting for each ensuing chapter.  The story was great, the writing was great and the detail wrt feats of strength was great.  I can't wait until your next project in the genre.

It is rare that a first time story becomes such an instant "classic" -- at least in my mind -- on the site (Circes's Deep Down Inside also strikes this chord with me).  Kudos to Papayoya for such a great tale!  While he mentions my help with editing and a little wordsmithing, this story was ALL Papa's, and I'm ecstatic he's found our genre!

As for the sadness that this story has concluded, yes, it is disheartening.  However, without revealing too much, I can share that I've read the story that is coming next and in development, and trust me when I say it's as entertaining and uber-rific as Tower's Syndrome is!

I hate it when stories end on a cliffhanger with no plans yo resolve it, but the story was still pretty great. I liked how the horrible asshole actually succeeded at her goals.

Thanks to you for the feedback and the encouragement! I'm glad to see that I could write a compelling enough story. I know that I started posting chapters very frequently at the beginning and had to slow down to about one per month when time caught up with me, but I hope that the wait was still bearable ;)

Not sure I deserve the praise for the writing skills, but thanks anyway! My next project is pretty advanced (quite more than I thought it would be), so hopefully, I will be able to start posting soon. I hope you will enjoy it too!

Cheers!

Thanks! I'm not sure I deserve such a compliment, but it feels great to read it anyway.

I left the ending open-ended on purpose (I tend to do it in most of my stories, if you ever read any of my giantess work), and I know how I would start if I had to do a sequel, but at this moment it's not planned (and much less outlined). I'm working on a different story that is moving along nicely and I hope will be ready soon; it has a quite different set-up than Towers, though. I hope that you will enjoy it in any case. And... who knows if the Towers sequel will come in the future!

Well, I have to thank you for many things, so let me start by this message. Honestly, even if I'm not sure it's deserved, it feels great to read words like "classic" or being compared to such great authors like Circes. And both your help, feedback and encouragement were key to make sure that Towers was a reality. So, thanks again!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my next story will, at least, be able to keep up!

Thanks!

Well, while I left the story open-ended on purpose, I believe that the plot line of The Towers' Syndrome was closed. This story was that of Sienna's ascension, which was meant to conclude with her taking over the world. The ending with the suggestion that there might be a way to counter or fight Sienna in the future is meant to leave the universe of the story open enough for a sequel or (less likely) a spin-off. I have some ideas on how those would look like, even if no solid plans to work on them right now. I hope that this was not too disruptive with the ending...

I'm glad to see that you enjoyed the story. And yes, Sienna was not a great person, was she? ;)

Yes I did read side effects and I know about your others giantess stories but, no offense, I did not "hook up" by them.  unlike this one.. Anyhow I am looking forward for your next work!

Obviously, Sienna is going to absorb the power from the new meterite while the helpless shuttle crew watch in dispair just before they and their ship are crushed to the size of ashtray.

How freaking good is this story?  Papayoya, I salute you.  If I hadn't finished making children, I'd name one after you.  Thank you so much!

If Sienna drains a second meteor, given that the power gains are multiplicative rather than additive, humanity won't be the only sapient species that she'll dominate.

I was way behind on reading stories on site as I've been busy.

I just finished this and I'll throw my kudos into the ring.  I think you handled her amping up really well.  I love the telegraph of showing limits, and then showing her naturally exceeding them after she hits the next level (Tk and the tank, etc).

Well done all around.

This is one of the great hgihglight of this story for me as well. It's very common in our genre for powers to come with a in-built guide, which is a perfectly reasonable situation because we all want to get to the meat of the action, showcasing our beloved characters as much as possible. Yet, Towers' Syndrome clearly demonstrate the appeal of taking a much slower pace and revealing powers one by one. Hell, seeing the slow and steady growth of Sienna is one of the main attractive os this story.
