I assume the guards on the crashed ship never got any powers because they never went outside to bask in the sunlight or breath in the local air. I found that really funny how unlimited power was just waiting for them if they had bothered to just step outside.

I went and re-read the story after having it sit on the shelf for weeks before publication. Adivik can confirm that I completely lost my mind for the next hour or two as I went manic scribbling down ideas, plot points, and world building. This is in the works for a 3 parter now, and I really hope it doesn't disappoint. If I can execute it well, I think it will the best story I've ever written in my... 10ish story career.

Aah - it's ok. The iPad here was playing up with security problems. Sorted now. Technology, eh? Sometimes you could do with a super-powered alien princess to kick the ass out of our planet and it's internet!
