Just to warn you all after looking at some of the video description all the videos have the heroines in peril at some point (its a like a rule of Japanese heroics that the villians must have the upperhand at some point). So there no nonstop ubergirl action. Usually the description marks Happy Ending or Bad Ending. In the Happy ends the heroine gets the upper hand again and takes them out. In Bad ends...well they don't get the advantage back.

Yeah, I had a look too and there's some really bad stuff on that website - best steer clear to be honest.

Actually on Akiba-Web there are lots of Supergirl/Wonder Woman/Whatever heroine (lol) clones ... but the main concept of the site is ... well, read above ^^

I mostly prefer Zen Pictures (or Akiba-Heroine as you wish) because there are mostly fights and peril scenes (without sexual overtones), like the well-known Steel Angel and Astro Girl series.

I LOVE her COSTUME! I like it when Supergirl wear the blue TIGHTS that SuperMan wears. I don't like the Supergirl skirt look at all.

I guess so - I see from the blurb that its only the second half of the movie that goes into that stuff. Thing is, I really don't want that sort of thing on my Hard drive or anything. Does anyone know if it's easy to edit out bits from these movies? I'd consider buying it then if I could get rid of all the sick stuff.

You're not the only one. Of course the Supergirl skirt is great, but the full body costume with the tights...wow. That's a bit more special.

I don't know what it is...maybe it's because you so rarely see it, or maybe it's more to do with Superman himself. Since he's basically the one iconic superhero, and Supergirl in her little skirt always has to defer to him, when you see a woman in his outfit it somehow makes her seem more important, more super. Like you can imagine you've slipped into a parallel universe where Siegel and Shuster did the right thing back in 1932 and created Superwoman rather than Superman...

Agreed. I'll take the skirt any day. I'm not knocking the other look either - different strokes for different folks. But the classic Supergirl costume is my favorite.

Umm...no offense, but gimme the skirt over this type of outfit anyday! The right figured girl might be able to pull it off, but not many are built like "Kara" from Elseworlds!
