Operation Sheila

Operation Sheila was created by BloodRayne89
I came across this on YouTube the other day: Operation Sheila
It's a little cheesy, but so much better than most of the other homemade stuff. (And the girl really gets the job done)
The fourth part hints that there's more coming, but I can't find anything on this one. Has anybody else seen this?

I have seen those before. They were done by a guy named "Dustybottoms" or "Sandybottoms" or something like that. If I remember correctly, he got some on-line friends to meet up and film the stuff and then he added the sound effects later. It was done a long time ago...

That's it! DustyBottoms! Didn't he used to have a website or blog or something?

hello all,

Well, I'm glad that somebody still digs this clip, all these years later. I get emails periodically asking if there's any more footage (not really, just people setting up lights and whatnot) or if I'm planning on doing more like them (alas, probably not).

I got an idea for a short film a few years back, and figured it was time to put my video hobby to use. It was a typical storyline for me (a genetically engineered supergal named Sheila finds a reason to tie some goons into knots). I did some searching online until I found a star, one who was both into the concept of a super-powerful ass-kicking woman and one who looked the part. She worked as a dom in NY...she was extremely fit, which was great, my only sort-of regret was that she was also a little on the pale side, which is fine (it's healthier, long term, anyway)....but she was pale enough that a lot of her pretty remarkable muscle definition didn't actually make it onto the video. She was very fit, and was pretty good at throwing punches and jumping around...not to mention, she could look good doing it.

Anyway, she rounded up some friends through her place of business, connected through email to the very cool genre fellow known as Kickfan (howdy, Scott) and I flew out with my camera gear to do an extremely quick, two-afternoon shoot. She graciously donated her time and her own wardrobe, but with costs in NY like they are, she couldn't clear big chunks of time. We shot for a few hours and realized that while it was good, we would need more time.

A few months later I flew back to NY, but the second time it was a bust. Some people didn't show, the venue was hard to get into, and I think we might not have shot a single frame (starting to get hazy, it was a while ago).

Anyway, I edited what we had shot together (not enough to get the whole idea of the short film across), and then it just kind of sat. To make a long story short, through the actions of somebody I shouldn't have trusted, the entire length of what we shot got posted online somewhere. She wasn't really happy about it, and understandably, since it wasn't finished, and part of the deal was that she could sell it from her site. But not being finished, it wasn't being seen by anybody...

I talked with the star once about a year later, about maybe finishing it, and she was open to the idea but it was looking tough, as she had new commitments to some family issues. She was also trying to squash the appearance of the video online where it would pop up, as she was getting out of her previous line of work and was worried it might come off as unseemly in a professional setting. Overall, she was mostly a really cool young woman, who was very nonjudgmental about the whole super-heroine fetish. She said that in her line of work, it was actually pretty tame, and that she thought that many men secretly had a desire of being pushed around (to differing extents of course) by a dominant woman. Not sure, that was just her theory. But, in the end, it's a shame we could pull it together, but it was fun, and forced me to have a quick NY vacation of sorts, so it's a winner all around.

A few years later I planned an even bigger, proper feature-length super-woman style F/M action video; I wrote a full-length script and got genre regular and scorchingly attractive Frankie Zappitelli to VERY enthusiastically jump on board. But life intervened; I had some health issues come up and because of them I wasn't able to pull together the several thousand it was going to take to shoot it. I still feel bad I couldn't make that happen; because a) the script was actually pretty good and the thought of Frankie Z. starring as the heroine...oh, goodness; and b) it ended up kind of stringing her along for a while I tried and tried to raise the money. I should have just stopped pre-production right away after my illness, but it was coming together so well, and Frankie was so darn COOL that I really wanted to make it happen in the worst way. So, Frankie, if you're out there, sorry about all that, I really, really tried. :(

Anyway, enough of me rambling. I would really like to try it again someday, but it's doubtful....I got hitched to the best woman in the world a couple years ago, and so far I haven't broached the whole "Gee, dear, I enjoy watching fit, scantily clad superwomen smashing outmatched male opponents into paste" discussion. She's great, and I'm 99% sure she would just shrug it off, but still. Looks strange on paper, ya know?

anyway. great forum, great stories, great site. nice work, everybody. Let's keep it up! (yes, more of The Siege someday. Soon, I hope! Sorry for the delay. Watch the bookshelves!)

oh, and PS: yeah, I did have a blog for a long while, where I would post the Poser animations I would make starring busty supergals. But over time it got to be almost a job, and a few amazing, supreme, raging A-holes would berate me for not providing more content at regular intervals (on my FREE blog).

Ugh. thinking about it still winds me up a little. So I stopped posting on the blog and haven't really made anything public since. Blame the guy who relied to me with "Delete away, sunshine."

Anyway. Enough with the bad. More of this site...the good!

You know bravo:)

Its amazing how many people don't do this kind of stuff-and i am not just talking about super girls videos but in general in life you saw something, and you tried. there is so many books that are never put to paper, arts works never made, trips never taken

you tried, and if you didn't completly sucseed your effort is to be commended. There was something you wanted to exist and you made a go for it.

So good on you man, good on you:)

hope someday it becomes complete reality. everything like this does teach you more about how to make videos.

i will say everything you describe sounds about right-its not hard to find people to help if you look and you try.

so good for you.

I remember the blog. It was awesome also. Unfortunately, I also remember the idiots leaving nasty messages about the lack of updates. There is no shortage of stupidity in this world...

Hey DustyBottums,
First off, I think Operation Sheila is just fantastic! I first saw it years ago and, given what you had to work with, the end result hit all the right notes. The girl you found was definitely inspirational to say the least!
I vote that you get back on the horse! With what's available today in terms of cameras and software, the possibilities are endless.
I've been funneling money from my personal site Heather Effect (PLUG!) into a live-action project and we're almost there. Just got my Black Magic camera last week; only waiting on the lens :)
Don't let the whiners get under your skin. I've been doing this long enough to know that no matter how good your work is, somebody will always go out of their way to tell you it sucks. Thick skin, my friend :)

I don't know, some of the comments Dustybottoms was getting were extremely nasty. All because he wasn't updating his free blog as much as some idiots wanted him to. I can totally see why he gave it up and wouldn't want to start up again.

ell, I just wanted to drop a line, and thank everybody for some very cool comments. You're all too kind!

Anyway, between the encouraging comments here and on my deviantart page....well....let's just say I've reopened the blog.

Never say never, I guess. :)

Not sure what I'll be posting there, but the Mankiller Universe is back in action. Some form of revenue will be required, unfortunately (the days of free animations are mostly over, I'm afraid), but I'll be sure to put up as much material as I can and the good stuff will be available for very reasonable costs.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks again.

Supergirls forever!
