New Electra Woman and Dyna Girl
comics-x-aminer.com/2015/07/06/new-poste...woman-and-dyna-girl/
I kinda get Electra Woman from the tall one but I don't see Dyna Girl at all.
The costumes look boring and no pigtails on Dyna Girl?

This looks very much like Electra Woman in name only and i think the overall concept of "These are inexperienced newbie superhero" is way over done in low budget movie land as a cheep source for comedy-but well will take a look. and curious how this does as an indie show. Just hope its not to cynical...though it probabbly is.

Well kinda. This is two parts to the video-one where Hannah Hart and Grace Helwig are introducing it(the first minute) and the actual trailer(second)
The first. minute is kinda cute of two comedians kind of riffing about the show.
The actual trailer...okay. Its trying to tell a story and has some intresting footage and a couple of decently done fights. It looks good and the costumes are fine. The problem...and this is a problem...is i think this is trying to be comedy and not very sucseful at it. I get that there style of comedy is hard to translate into a show, but its not coming across. Though at least the beggining of this in the first episode doesn't feel very less low budget indie cliche.
And yeah there is nothing from the original 70s show other then the costumes at the beggining.

I'm definitely outside the demographic that has created this new generation of "internet personalities", but I think there's a reason you don't see a lot of them crossing over into anything resembling mainstream success. These two aren't actresses, not really. They're bloggers who got famous for being themselves and knowing how to market that. The further they get outside of that fairly narrow indow, the worse they're going to look. Well, "look" is a bad choice of words. They're obviously good-looking, which is just as obviously part of their appeal.
They have a built-in audience that is going to follow any move they make. They're like the Kardashians in that regard. A few of us will keep an eye on this little project because of the genre appeal, but it's unlikely to go very far.

The trailer part looks pretty mediocre also.

very Interesting points
Though one of the things that strikes me about this is-i am not getting diffrent personalities here. Most two person comedy is based on the concept that the two characters are diffrent. it maybe a bit much to ask from 1 minute trailer which i am going to guess is cut from the first episode of a 10 minute max video but...well they just seem the same. Electra Woman and Dyna Girl are the same characters- two vaugely cocky heroines who are probabbly over there heads. Nothing seperating them.
Agian: The original show was not amazing-it was a parody of Batman 66 which itself was a parody. But it did get a lot of millage off the Stern know nonsense heroine Electra woman and her always slightly Scared Dyna Girl. Even though they situations they faced wither kind of silly and with absulutley no budget Dyna girl in somewaays grounded it becuse she cared.
Not getting that off here., The funniest bit is Hannahs Hart Hair in the 70s style costume. I like that there not going with "Hey where incompetents" which i think is the death of superhero comedy.... but yeah.
but i will probabbly watch the first episode at least .

Make no mistake, it's going to be incredibly stupid on purpose. The question is whether you (or we) find that to be great or not.

Not so sure about that.
Agian the original maybe one of the most incredibly stupid Superhero properties ever...But they took it fairly seriously, which had the effect of of making it even more silly.
And while obviously one shouldn't judge it totally on the original-thats the problem with a lot of modern culture, the tinge of nostalagia etc. This doesn't seem nearly that stupid.
Of course whether this is good or great is an enjoyable is a semi seperate question.

I can't imagine the torture that 12 minutes would be.
I have to thank the braver members of this forum for taking the hit for me.
The one dim bulb had no clue there was an earlier show?

No no, I'm sure she's aware. It's just that when the host asked her about the origins of the show, instead of at least mentioning the 70s series she immediately goes into talking about HER idea to do a show about superheroes in LA.
And yeah, the babbling and the talking over each other and especially the immediate repeating of what the other just said doesn't get any better as it goes on.

It looks like this project has completely stalled.
All articles on the web are from July 2015
It looks like pictures are posted on Facebook every two weeks with no updates.
Followers comments asking for info are not answered.

While they don't have powers, the villainess at 1:10 in the trailer seems to!

i thought this was a youtube series...and from what i gather it was shot like it. Huh. That could explain why it took over a year to come out.

Yeah, this was always intended to be feature length. Apparently, it's the new frontier. Nothing-budgeted docs and scripted stuff that will make money for the studios because the fan base of these YouTube stars will watch them do anything.
Thought this recent article doesn't specifically mention EW&DG, it gives you the idea:

Okay taking a look at this...You know i am kinda getting around to intrigued
This is clearly a very low budget comedy first and center My original belief was the first trailer was just for the first or maybe second episode out of 10 or something like that, but this clearly isn't, and we do not get any more action -which suggest there may not be much of it. As we get more plot it seems more cliched plot(hey two people go to the big city and one of them gets an ego!!).
But there is something weridly quirky about this which i kinda getting. Perhaps becuse i live in LA but some of the Humor is working for me. Its also not that mean spirited. And also kinda curious if nothing else from a person trying to do kinda the same thing to see what they can do with this kinda budget-agian not necessairly great or ambitious but it something And curious.
