Heroineburgh Episodes 8-10 update

We thought those who have downloaded episodes of Heroineburgh and become fans would appreciate an update on our progress for the next three episodes 8-10. These will be released in late April. Episode 8 is almost completely done, Episode 9 is in the middle of post-production, and Episode 10 is halfway through being filmed. Download previous episodes from the Video Store at www.heroineburgh.com.

Episode 8 will feature the heroine X-Machina and the villainess Dysphoria.

X-Machina is a Chinese-American mechanical engineer. She has Magneto-style magnetic powers, and the technopathic
ability to fix and build machines at superspeed (like a super-MacGyver).

Dysphoria is her lab assistant who acquires the power to make anything decay at a single touch.

Episode 9 will feature the heroine Savanna and the villainess Serpenta.

Savanna is a veterinarian at the Pittsburgh Zoo who acquires the powers of the big cats, and uses an amulet of tantalum
to augment her genetic gifts.

Serpenta is a herpetologist who was fired from the Zoo for illicit experiments with radioactive snake venom which grants
her serpent-like powers.

Episode 10 will feature the heroine Jinniyya, the antiheroine Darbouka, and the villainess Dyna.

Jinniyya is a Lebanese-American engineer who owns a firm that designs power-generating windmills. She acquires super-strength and the power to control the wind, allowing her to fly. She's an Arabic Supergirl-meets-Isis.

Darbouka is an Afghan immigrant who is Jinniyya's partner in the firm. She turns greedy and tries to sell her partner out.
while acquiring the power to channel massive waves of sound (like The Fiddler on Flash, but using a darbouka drum).

Dyna is a scientist/inventor who was given super-strength by her boss, a ruthless oil baron. She gratefully serves her
benefactor as henchwoman and bodyguard.

Inspired by a somewhat similar scenario in Black Lightning, we filmed an epilogue scene today for Episode 8 where X-Machina tests out her increased power levels in a junkyard, while being spied on by Detective Mark Drake (a future nemesis for the heroines). Pittsburgh-area folks will recognize the significance of the location. So much fun! This episode comes out in April at www.heroineburgh.com.

We finished principal photography for Episode 10 last week, and we're now in the last week of completing the final stages of post-production for Episodes 8, 9 and 10. This is in preparation for the release of Episodes 8-10 at Steel City Comicon on Fri April 13, followed by their theater debut at Pittsburgh Filmmakers on Sun April 29, and then they go up online a few days later. Also we are currently making a display booth banner, promotional stickers and T-shirts with the new comic book graphic by DC artist Jason Wright (Hal Jordan Green Lantern, etc) as seen below.

We are also now making preliminary plans to film Episode 11 in late May/early June. So there's a lot going on.

Second to last update before we post Heroineburgh Episodes 8-10 online in late April:

Heroineburgh Episodes 8-10 will debut on Friday April 13 at Noon, at the Steel City Con in Monroeville PA at the Convention Center. Admission is free with the Con ticket. Also over the course of three days at the Con, fans can stop by the Heroineburgh booth in Artists' Alley and meet our incredible superheroines and supervillainesses (both current and future characters), pick up T-shirts and stickers, and snap a photo or two. It's gonna be so much fun!

All these actresses with facial piercings and tattoos!
They are such a turn off to me.
Looks like I'll be skipping this batch.

None of the heroines in Episodes 8-10 (X-Machina, Savanna, Darbouka or Jinniyya) have any facial piercings or tattoos at all.
Only the villains Dyna and Serpenta, and it fits their evil personas.
And the villain Dysphoria has facial markings, but that's just makeup to show that her face is cracked and pale, because she is the mistress of decay.

Well, anyway, we're looking forward to the Steel City Con this weekend.

Steel City Con Day 1 - April 13, 2018.

Heroineburgh Episodes 8-10 debuted to the crowd in the event hall at Steel City Con in Monroeville PA.

Lots of great action shots and photo opportunities were had. The heroines made many new fans, as we passed out
the stickers promoting our theater showing of Episodes 8-10.
