Hmmm... they must have changed it after I read it. I hadn't even heard of AdWeek before finding this via Google.

Maybe it was getting enough hits for them to smell a buck to be made.

I remember the free and open early days of the Net well enough to detest this commercialization of information.

I couldn't get the Adweek either, but there are lots of articles about this ad campaign, many repeating the same points. I'm actually amazed we all missed it last year. Anyway, here's a good one from London's Observer:
