Until there is thousands of Superwomen, the first couple will be insteance SuperStars. Once there are a couple thousands the most powerfull and/or beautiful will become the Superstars of the Supers.

Yes, but in a shared universe things get tricky. Technically the character's belong to their creators even in a shared universe. And now imagine two authors; each intending to write a story that involves - for example - Charlize Theron. What happens if their fictional versions of Charlize Theron are fundamentally different? Whose version will be the official one that future authors writing in the SWMU will have to consider if they talk about Charlize Theron?

That's why I think it's better to have original characters. There's nothing speaking against there being two or three characters based on Charlize Theron as long as their names aren't Charlize Theron.

Well what about the case when someone has the same name? There are 13 people in the USA with the same name as myself. One of them even has a brother and nephew with the same name of my brother and nephew.

Now private names this could work, but a public super name would get confusing.

Personally, I'd say "no" to adding super-powered celebrities and public figures to the SWMU, at least under their real names. But let's add it to the questionnaire and put it to a vote.

Okay, here's my first draft of the questions for your questions, comments, and rotten tomatoes.

When we finalize the list, I think we should start a new thread, just for answers to the questionnaire.

SWM Universe Questionnaire
  1. What setting would you prefer? (E.g. Contemporary Earth, Future Earth, Fantasy, Historical.)
  2. What “flavor” would you prefer the setting to have? (E.g. Realistic, Gritty, Golden Age, Silver Age, 90s extreme, Modern Age.)
  3. How long have superwomen been around?
  4. How has history been affected by superwomen?
  5. How common are superwomen? How many of them are there?
  6. Are there supermen as well as superwomen?
  7. Is the existence of superwomen a secret known only by a few, or public knowledge?
  8. How many ways of becoming super are there?
  9. What power origins would you like to see? (E.g. Science, Magic, Aliens.)
  10. What power origins would you not like to see? (E.g. Science, Magic, Aliens.)
  11. Do all superwomen have the same set of powers? (E.g. All like Supergirl)
  12. What powers would you like to see? (E.g. Strength, Flight, Invulnerability, Heightened Senses, Immortality.)
  13. What powers would you not like to see? (E.g. Strength, Flight, Invulnerability, Heightened Senses, Immortality.)
  14. How much variation in power level is there between superwomen?
  15. Are there unpowered superheroines (E.g. Batgirl)
  16. Are all superwomen conventionally beautiful?
  17. Do you have a particular story or character idea that you would like to be kept in mind when designing the universe?
  18. Should celebrities be present under their real names?

That wasn't meant to be a complaint but more a motivation.

But it's good to see that there are some clear trends with certain questions like setting and flavor.

I'm sure that there is enough talent here. You could have some stories in comic book form, some stories acted out on youtube.

I think that both these ideas were discussed before. The problem wasn't the lack of talent, but rather the lack of funding. Comic books and videos are rather involved projects that require time and skills to pull off.
