Melissa Benoist IS Supergirl!

Melissa really IS Supergirl
Agree....I've checked out a lot of the articles on various mainstream comic, pop culture, and film sites. Aside from a few trolls, most I've seen are very complimentary. In this day and age, it's quite remarkable, especially from the fandom sites. Hopefully this translates into ratings and a long shelf life for the series.

It's a 2015 version of Helen Slater's 1984 costume.
Wow.

Yes, the article on The Mary Sue and the comments are all quiet positive. They all love it (and there were some rumblings before).

Possibly-but this outfit has the look of....
"Hi, i am an actress who on set wears a costume-but hey its lunchtime(or i am not needed on set for awhile)-if its takes 15 minutes or less i am going to put on an outfit thats perhaps more wearable.
The fact that she appears to be drinking coffee and eating donuts casually in said outfit suggests perhaps this isn't that outfits as the supergirl costume probabbly costs a pretty penny to make
I have seen this outfit before-its part of the magic of hollywood.

talk2sparky wrote: Why else would she be wearing thick framed glasses on the Supergirl set? Clearly, the photos are between shooting, but otherwise it makes sense.
four possibilities
1. your right-which is possible.
2. Realizing there's papparazzi, shes wearing glasses to throw people off-Happens.
3. This is part of her costume generally and shes trying to get use to them.
4. (And this is my favorite): Maybe she wears glasses. More actors then you think actually wear. I think i read that she had colored contacted lens-which are a pain such that you don't want to imediatly put in normal ones..So maybe Supergirl is secretly mild mannered....

talk2sparky wrote: Thanks, AJF! Add a dash after melissa to get the right site. Considering there are several shots of her running a microphone up through her shirt, that's a pretty good sign she's in character.
They surely would use a boom mic for dialogue, like other tv or movie dramas? I don't think radio mics, with their bulky battery packs and transmitters, are much preferred outside of on-screen presenters and interviewees. It is possible she's been wired up for some special effect, like bouncing bullets off her chest ... or (mundanely) she might just have been adjusting the headphones on her iphone before heading to lunch.

There often used with booms to get multiple sources of sound on scenes.

The other day i got in a conversation on here about the shows Second Assitant Camerman and what that can say about a production. Which yes is kind of silly but what are you going to do.
As its goes remember there going to be shooting photos like this for the next couple of years knock on wood, probabbly about 200 or so days a year.
