New 30 second Supergirl spot

I really like it

There Deifiently Selling this as an Ubergirl action show.

The "Hey this is the Devil Meets Prada" and the joke about Scarlet Johansen as ms. Benoist herself put it...really did not go over well with the internet-i think i was a little more neutral to it-and like the comedy stuff i have seen, but yeah.

. The action and general sence of girlpower-yeah.

People like this stuf, and it makes sence to sell it in your adds. The spent god knows how many million putting together there special effects you may as well get your moneys worth. Sell it like an action movie

Of course how does that effect the actual show? Cause well this is isn't an action movie and next week they have to do a new episode.

If i where a guessing man, i suspect the Office stuff is going to be a touched demphasised-probabbly not elimimated, though if its a bomb i suspect you could see it go this time next year.Maybe the sister stuff to-donno.

But i could say this they may up the action stuff-which is expensive obviously but what would be a logical course of action-they need 30 new seconds of material, and as someone who is working on the problem right now thats tricky but well you do what you have to do.

And yeah, thats kind of whats probabbly true for years-people , you know not a few gibbering wierdos in the corner of the inernet- they eat this up. We're not as rare as we think.

Nice. I hope the ad campaign works and the general audience embraces the show.

I am completely down with that.

Hope the rest of the season has decent action scenes. I'm worried they'll cut down on action stuff to save money over the course of a season.

I am kind of worried about that too. They seemed to go "all out" on the FX in the pilot. I hope they don't cut it back to save money.

I share your concern. What they did has worked, both leaking it and now showing it at the Cons. Great publicity and buildup for an action series. But can they sustain that over the episodes?

If they suck people in with action and then resort to cheese and chic-flic writing, that's going to cause a stink. Guess we'll see.

Thats probabbly the open question of the show-

There is a lot of action scene in the shows first epiosde-in a per hour basis, probabbly more then a marvel movie-not always better, but they hit em. Can't deny they do not mess a fuck around.

next epiosde suspect probabbly a little bit less-but how much less honestly donno. But A lot more i suspected then this time last year where i thought you would see 10 minutes of stuff at the end.

That said-the ways shows like this usually go-at the very least the first 10 epiosdes i am really expecting something to see. Lets see how far out they can go with it.

A sentiment shared by the executive producer, who claimed that he wouldn't have agreed to made the show except for finding Melissa.

I suppose that means that the writing and directing will be focused on maximizing her potential as an actress. If you like Melissa as an actress, then this is great. She's gonna shine.

Talk about a moon shot for her. Established actors get movies and shows written as vehicles for them (Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, etc), but it's rare for a relatively new and unknown actor to get a major show tuned to your exact personality and talents.

The danger is that she's going to get locked into the role and will have to play Supergirl for years and years and years, maybe in crossover roles in other shows and movies and who knows what. Won't that be horrible. <grin>
