Where does Supergirl fit.
Is she part of the movie universe of Man of Steel?

She can't be part of Arrow/ Flash.
Those characters are known to the public in the CW universe but they never mention Superman.

Is she part of Gotham?

Is Supergirl on TV part of her own little world, Earth 3 maybe?

I believe there is going be a cross over with the Flash. As I understand it CBS is part of the company that also owns CW.

Fox is owned by a different company, so it won't be that universe.

She would nave to be on an alternate Earth to cross over with Flash.

We're talking about two very different things -- Placing "Supergirl" into a fictional universe that makes sense to serious fans looking for continuity, vs the real-world corporate synergy that makes a Supergirl/Flash crossover appealing from a marketing standpoint. If CBS wants to do the latter, they'll do it, and fans will be left to figure out how it fits in their own minds. But to the former, if your only "evidence" is that Flash and Arrow have never mentioned Superman (yet), I would show you stacks and stacks of comic book stories where those characters don't mention Superman in their personal adventures.

WWW makes a point......while it won't probably happen this season, I can definitely envision it for an upcoming $weep$ Week next year. The fact that the show's are owned by the same parent and the fact that they share basically the same core production crew (Berlanti, Adler, Schectner, and Kreisberg) are two big traditional obstacle they are pretty well positioned to navigate.
