After stringing together a run of really good episodes, this one was a clunker.

What if they made a Supergirl episode where she wasn't the star?
I noticed fairly early that something was very wrong with this episode.
During the second James/ Marcus moment I hit the fast forward button

The Lena/ Rhea bits were really good hinting at what this episode could have been,
The lack of Supergirl as the driving force behind this episode was really disturbing.

Have to agree, this week was a swing and a miss for me too.

Why the hell was the James Olsen/Marcus plot line the MAIN plot, instead of the sub-plot? The show is called SUPERGIRL. It should be about her!!!

The Lena/ Rhea bits were really good hinting at what this episode could have been...

Exactly! Why this was not the main plot is beyond absurd to me tbh. The Lena/Rhea sub-plot perfectly followed on from last weeks episode, let Mon-El be a contributing factor in a logical way, and allowed Supergirl to be the driving force.

And if little Jimmy Olsen had to be shoe-horned in, then let him, as noted, be the SUB-PLOT.

The one positive thing I would like to take away from this is that it could spell the end of the whole Guardian bull. I think someone said to James, something along the lines of "you don't need a suit to be a hero". Take that to heart James and retire. Yo do nothing for the show. Go back to being a photographer, as you should have been.

While the Lena/Rhea sub-plot was nice, I particularly liked the confrontation between Rhea and Mon-El ("Did you find out we weren't bullet-proof?"), I get the feeling that they are rushing the conclusion of her storyline. I hope I am wrong and the ships arriving sets up a cliff-hanger ending for the season. 2 episodes to go and will find out I guess.

After heading in the right direction the last few weeks, I'm willing to give them a pass on this weeks. Like speeding along the highway and hitting a small pothole. It happens. \o/

Peace.

I'm thinking James Olsen, Mehicad was given a long contract as some romantic interest for Kara but it wasn't working out after the first series. What do they do with Brooks's character now? Turn him into some lame wannabee hero? I may dodge the series 2 dvd with this bull storyline.

I have a feeling you are spot on with this Monty.

Tbh, I don't care as long as he isn't ruining the show. "Kill him, burn him, blow him away"* Or maybe even just have him go back to being a photo-journo. (not have a go at you btw Monty <3 :) )

I may dodge the series 2 dvd with this bull storyline.

I'm with you on this :)

Peace.
