First Image of Overgirl

Well, a behind the scenes image from this year's crossover has been released. The four parter, titled Crisis on Earth-X will initially bring all our heroes(including Kara and Alex) together for the wedding of Barry Allen and Iris West. Unfortunately, as is the nature of things, the wedding is interrupted by an invasion from the aforementioned Earth-X. On that Earth, the Nazis won World War II, and the doppelgangers of many of the heroes of Earth-1, as well as Kara serve as members of the New Reichsmen.

The image itself is a behind the scenes shot of Overgirl, Kara's Earth-X doppelganger. As she's wearing a full facemask, there's no way to tell if it's Melissa or a stuntwoman. The crossover itself will air on 11/27 and 11/28 in two two hour blocks, the Supergirl and Arrow episodes airing on the 27th and Flash and Legends of Tomorrow wrapping up the story on the 28th. By all indications, Kara will have a larger role in the story compared to last year, as will Alex. Also, judging from other behind the scenes shots, the crossover will likely be where Victor Garber will be bowing out of Legends, his departure due to an upcoming run on Broadway having been announced recently.

The animated series will tie directly into the crossover, with Russell Tovey, the actor who voices the Ray in the web series portraying him in live action as well, much like how Melissa Benoist, Stephen Amell, and Grant Gustin voiced their characters' Earth-X doppelgangers in the animated series. Pretty much the same as how they handled the Vixen web series, and the upcoming Constantine series.

Couple more behind the scenes shots, these showing Melissa, Chyler Leigh, and Caity Lotz outside the church where they're shooting the initial wedding. From the look of things, the action heats up when Overgirl attacks during the ceremony.

There's a video showing them filming Candace Patton(Iris West), Emily Bett Rickards(Felicity Smoak), and Jesse L. Martin(Joe West) directing extras(wedding guests) out of the church during the apparent fight. Also adding a spoiler tag to the topic.
