2018 Arrowverse Crossover

Arrow star Stephen Amell and CW president Mark Pedowitz announced at the CW Upfronts event today that this fall's crossover will introduce Gotham City to the CW's DC multiverse and will introduce and focus on Batwoman. obviously it's a bit early for more details on the story or whom they will cast in the role, but it ought to be fun speculating. after this past year's romp with parallel universe Nazis and aliens the year before, it looks like they're going for a more grounded route this year.

BatWOMAN, not Batgirl? Assuming that Supergirl has the first episode of the crossover again, would that imply that Batwoman is from the Gotham City of her Earth, a colleague/copycat of a certain vigilante who was mentioned as having worked with Superman. Or could Batwoman be a dimension-hopping villainess from the Crime Syndicate of Amerika, requiring assistance from The Flash and Vibe to trail her across dimensions as she carries out her evil plan? A plan which may even involve time travel, thus requiring the aid of the Legends of Tomorrow to use the Waverider to catch up to her before she retcons herself a victory?

I look forward to more info so we can refine our theories

Gotham and other Batman related locales(Bludhaven specifically) have been mentioned on Arrow as well. a blurb about WayneTech merging with Queen Industries also appeared in a newspaper from the year 2024 on the Flash. lastly, Bruce Wayne was explicitly mentioned earlier this season on Arrow, so he does exist in some form on Earth-1. as for the Batwoman who will be appearing, the current theory within the Arrowverse fandom is that it'll be a variation of the Kate Kane Batwoman whose been running around for a while. aside from that, all we have is what Amell and Pedowitz revealed today, though obviously more will come out as the air date for the crossover draws closer
