Glad you like it. With the new story format, its hard to gauge how well my story is being received. I used to just look at the counter to see how many times my story has been read. I'd imagine the counter has been removed for good reasons. Admin here runs a good shop, so no need to complain over something so minor.

The next chapter is what i've been building toward. Its really fun to write, because of his death, it creates a clash among everybody. We'll say good bye to a lot of characters in chapter 3, and part 4 will be the conclusion.

Don't worry about the title, it actually makes more sense when you write it the way you've written it....if Empire was an actual Empire and not the name of a city =) But I do see that this is your first post on SWM. For it to happen for one of my stories, well, lets just say I'm extremely flattered. Hope you enjoy chapter 3....Should be ready to go by the end of the month.

Oh and I threw the story to Woodclaw for some quick edits. I'm still not familiar with posting stories on here, so thanks for doing that for me Woodclaw =)

To my shame I haven't finished reading this installment yet. From what Ive perused so far it's a solid work, with some interesting twists, but with one very big flaw: size and scope.
Chorus stories are one DKC's signatures since "The Project", what we have here is like "The Project" on steroids. The scope and size are much bigger, the world building that was semi-absent from the first installment is now much more developed, but this slows down the story in places and make the narrative rather sparse. I can't help but feeling that some people would skip some the world-building bits and go straight for the action at any given point, which might prove a problem in the long run.
The story is really good, it has a nice diversity of situations and even those bits that really don't suit me well -- like having powers easily figured out -- flows very well and aren't a detriment to the fun factor. What I can say is that it takes time and dedication to get through it, but I'm waiting to see what comes next.

I have finally read both parts in full.

The end of chapter 2 is going to unleash something awful. Can't wait for 3 and 4.

The alternate history surrounding WWII is very interesting. How would the world have coped with a longer duration war?
