Season 2 x 01 Spoilers & Discussions The Adventures of Supergirl

Given what is known about this episode, including the usual whispers and speculation, it wouldn't at all surprise me if this is a working title, of sorts. Although, then again, perhaps not... heheheh
The title is, of course, the same as the current digital comic based on the tv show. But don't forget that The Adventures of Superman was also the name of the classic George Reeves tv show. And, of course, Kara Zor-El may not be the only super girl having adventures in this episode (depending upon who you believe.)
Plenty to chew over, while we wait for the official episode description and cast list to be released.

Either that or she's been hard-core starving herself since her last episode in Season 1 was filmed. And coloring her hair more than she did last season. Both of which I doubt.
There wasn't anything wrong with Melissa as she appeared in Season 1. She's never been skinny like Calista. She normally looks wholesome, solid and believable for someone who is both strong and fit. There is just this expectation in print journalism that causes them to Photoshop everyone, even if they don't need it.
But I guess it's one more thing to look for when the first leaks from Season 2 start coming out in video (which is less likely to be edited, especially in leaks).

This is unlikely to be a new picture. Judging by the hair (extensions?)* and makeup it looks like an image taken from the shoot Melissa did last year around the time of ComicCon, before shooting for the main part of season one began. (Likely the same session that created the memorable short video of Melissa holding up the card revealing the broadcast date of episode one.)
* = I'm no expert, but particularly if you look at the Flash picture below you'll note there are bunches of hair on either side that seem to vanish to the base of the rear of her head. I assume these are clip-on extensions, giving Melissa's hair extra length and volume(..?)

And given I tweak most any picture I like to amplify it, I'm hardly a critic. But it does seem a little odd when the actress is going to show up unedited in video.
In Melissa's case, she seemed to bulk up just a little during Season 1. I thought she looked great, and probably appropriate for a character who is getting stronger. And yes, cameras tend to "add weight". But who says every woman on TV has to look skinny? Is Superman skinny?
Kryptonians have very special muscles. Duh.
I tend to do stuff like this, so I'm hardly objective. Real versus fantasy.

That's probably a contractual requirement!

There are also signs saying L Corp. Is L Corp Lena Luthor's company, based in National City?
Who's playing Lena Luthor? She was said to be a series regular, but no one has been reported to play her.

Since when is Mon-El a bad guy?
Half the time when new heroes meet they fight.
He could simply be a bit disorientated from the trip. Or have some mostly mistaken beef with the House of El. Mon-El isn't a real El, it's a name given to him as he showed up with amnesia, his real name is Lar Gand.
Another question not asked yet is "who put him in the pod" and "where did he get a pod" .. as well as "where did he come from". He's a Daxamite, not a Kryptonian, so might not have come from Krypton. And if he did, why did he show up so late?
It's possible he was in a Daxamite colony that is finally succumbing to loss of support from Krypton -- maybe the House of El promised resources that never came. They might not even know of the destruction of Krypton, and blame House of El for abandoning them.
Or Jor-El was supposed to send him back to Daxam so he could stop something, and when he wakes up, he realizes he's not home and it's far too late, his home is destroyed. And there's an El in front of him ....
i.e. he's not a bad guy, he's fighting for what he thinks are good reasons ...

andyf wrote: From the recent pics just posted online, it seems to confirm Superman, plus Martian Manhunter are fighting Metallo in Metropolis. Supermani s wearing something similar to what Superboy Prime wore to shield himself from Metallos Krptonite. This whole fight scene could be flashback scene. It was at SDCC that Superman had a falling out with Martian Manhunter and he won't work with him anymore, which could lead to Clark having tension with Kara.
Andyf can you post the pics here.
