Season 2 x 19 Alex

There was a ticking clock narrative, which is always fun, even though the outcome is a foregone conclusion in shows like these

Other things of note, to me, in this episode include:
- It was well paced. The sub-plot (which I will get too in a sec) was kept to a minimum, but interesting;
- There was a nice callback to the very beginning of the show which tied the narrative together and added to the world building;
- There was some nice characterization, with regards to Kara which demonstrated her fallibility;
- The sub-plot actually made sense, building on last weeks show and providing a certain continuity;
- And Kara even managed a collar lift to boot

As someone mentioned in another post, Teri Hatcher seems to be getting set up as next seasons "bad", which is fine. With the amount of episodes left, I hope they don't try to cram the conclusion to her storyline in tbh.
Lena also seems to be heading towards her transformation to villain, what with the loss of "one true love" (maybe?) last episode, and now teaming up with Rhea. Though to be fair, you never know with Lena who is playing who. So that should be kinda interesting to watch.
Overall, a really enjoyable episode. Looking like a strong end to the season if they can keep this up.
There are still things that will need to be resolved. For example, where is Cadamus and Geremiah? And what's up with President Lynda?
Hopefully these will continue into the next season, rather then come to a crashing conclusion in this one. Which is fine with me tbh.
Well done Team Supergirl for (so far) correcting course

Peace.

The ship has corrected course and seems to be heading the right general direction.
Lena and Rhea teaming up is pretty awesome.
Can't wait to see the trouble they will get into.

The cheesy stuff didn't get in the way of the building tension and a worthy villain. Lots of internal conflict within characters and between them. And no Winn doing superhuman computer stuff, or Kara having to be saved by anyone. She comes off as the clear hero of the story. No ifs, ands or buts. Also some nice portrayal of strength... and the challenges of controlling that. Of thinking she can always figure out a way to use her powers to solve a problem, only to nearly fail with the person she values the most. But it was her brain that won the day.
This is a smart, confident Supergirl who can be a bit of a bully when she's angry. Almost PGish.
And a nice setup for the future. A Daxxanian queen and a Luthor working together with hyper-scientific Star Trek grade tele-porters. (I really want one of those.)

He said that the guy "was blocking him" and that was why he couldn't read his mind. Not that he couldn't do anything to his mind.
Least, that is my reasoning for it.
Peace.

You can wipe a HD, cassette tape, etc w/o reading it. Just apply a big magnet. There might be a mental equivalent of that. It might even be easy to be more selective (wipe a portion of time). He also was motivated before, to protect his dad. Now he's demoralized and that has to affect his shielding. For a computer analogy, you can encrypt an entire drive, or more likely for mental shielding, a set of the files. There still is some file meta data, and might just be able to delete all files from the last year, even if you can't READ them. He didn't seem to hide the original Kara memory, so MM can just wipe that memory and any memory attached to it, as well as the last two years....
It's possible that reading a mind is delicate, but wiping is just brute force. It does seem that he's not too delicate when he wipes, and he might accidentally wipe too much. But since the guy is a national security risk and tried to kill a federal agent, well ... sorry for his luck.
He can also just say "You're mind is getting wiped one way or another ... you want to loose everything back until high school, we can do that. You want to forget your Dad? Fight. You want to just loose the last year or so and forget that Kara is Supergirl? Don't fight."

I believe that people connected with the show monitor this forum (and others) and have listened and taken notes.
The changes in the last few episodes since the Flash crossover are quite telling.

I hope you are right. Critical comments, the more detailed the better, are the only path to improvement, so we have to hope we've had an influence. Better that than have a show silently lose its audience snd get canceled. Those who took the time to be vocal at least showed they cared.
