Supergirl in costume for most of the episode!
Thumbs up!
Mon El in costume.
Reign in costume for the entire episode with an unmasking!
Alex in her boring black jumpsuit.
She did look pretty cool on the motorcycle.
Embrace the comic book designers!
Bright colors and visually appealing (and sexy) costumes.
Lots of good visuals in this one.
I was entertained.
Imra steps aside to let Mon El work out his feelings.
That is quite a woman.
Alex telling the very mature 12 year old lie after lie after lie.
She would make a terrible mother.
It is one thing to protect and shield a child from pain and torment and it is another thing to destroy trust which causes pain and torment.
Swearing that from now on you will tell the truth is an empty promise when you have no trust.
I have figured out what has happened in the second half of the series.
It is the long format story telling.
This arc should have wrapped up episodes ago.
However the writers are handcuffed and have to stretch this out for the full season.
Stories should be two or three episodes long.
Beginning, middle and end then move on.
The elevator scene at the end of the episode was very impressive.
Lena is my favorite character right now.
Trust has been destroyed.

Did anyone catch the homage to 1978's Superman The Movie?

Oh you bet I did
On the whole, this episode had some really strong performances. The scene with Lena in the elevator with Kara was gold, and imo, Lena (in some way) will most likely be the villain come season 4.
And the scenes with Lumley and Harewood are always well played, and in a way, quite touching.
Alex seems to be having the same problem as Caitlin on The Flash, in that the writers don't seem to know what to do with her. Sad really, as she had some good chemistry in season one with Jo'nn. I really wish they would have carried on that relationship
I think going into season 4, the writers really need to chop the deadwood characters. Jimmy Olsen, and even Winn at this point, really need to go. They serve nothing to the show imo. Focus on Alex, Jo'nn and Kara (as they did in season 1). Get back to basics.
And KEEP REIGN! Odette is amazing! I don't care how they do it lol Would be interesting to see her contrast to Kara in how she "saves the day" Reign is all fists and no bullshit, while Kara is all lovey-dovey
Anywho, I'm slightly more optimistic about the season finale. Hopefully it won't disappoint Though next weeks episode looks like a filler/downer
Peace.
