Admittedly I don't understand the language ... but it sure did look like the superhero:
- let bad guys drive away with some kidnapped kids, choosing to fight the main bad guy instead. She also took no steps during the first part of the fight to disable the van despite have seen henchmen drag screaming kids into the van.
- later chooses to stop a purse snatcher rather than the villain. So kidnapping kids is ok, but we can't have a little old lady's purse stole? I'm baffled.
- then goes to fight the villain, ultimately, it looked like all she needed to do was sprinkle some powder to banish (so why wasn't this done earlier?). Maybe that stuff is super rare, so you want to make sure you don't waste it (hence pinning them down first).
I think i'm ornery today.
I like the transformation though.

Turns out there's a Wikipedia page for the series, but it doesn't address the plot issues you raise,

Wait, it's worse.
THEY FEED ON THE KIDS FOR THEIR YOUTHFUL ENERGY. They're being taken away as a food source. Meh, Let me stop and save this old lady's purse though.

I low low budget stuff!
Super Ma was super hot.
It's good to see a heroine with an actual figure.
I was going to bring up Twice's points also.
This is the Wonder Woman effect.
Fight the Super Villain but don't save the innocents.
Also I guess this is where we are headed.
I liked her outfit but I would never call it a costume.
I guess the push for "realism" has reached the Philippines.

Isn't Marion Rivera a former Darna?
I like this outfit better than the one in the video.
