Thanks... I often wind up with extracted and tweaked picts where I lose the link back to the source (because I'm lazy).
I remember this book mostly for the story about how Laura Kent discovers she's got her Dad's powers. As they portrayed it, it's a puberty plus kind of thing. As in, she's a normal girl until 14 or 15 or so, and then BOOM, she discovers in s moment of stress that she's got her Dad's powers.
That would be a rather dramatic (to put it mildly) discovery for a mid-teen girl. Especially given the story states that she's always been very disappointed that she didn't get her Dad abilities. Well, now she has.

The Superman Family series had some silly stories, but it also had some really interesting “alternate” stories. One of the stories in #200 (where my posted cover pict came from) had an older Kara as the Governor of Florida and also Superwoman. She was married to (or at least living with) a man who is a “great detective” (Bruce Wayne?) She’s still juggling two jobs and two identities, but is presumably at peace with it all. She has it all, except for kids.
Lois is not at peace given she finds she’s pregnant again after already sacrificing her career to stay home and raise Laura, and she just wants to be a star reporter again. The story was set in a time when many professional women dropped out of the workforce to raise families, and then tried to return after raising kids. Seems quant today, but the story dealt with stresses that put on ambitious women.
Anyway, Kara was painted much as we’d see a modern woman today (well except for her second job whwew she wore her red and blues) while Lois was living a more traditional lifestyle, and suffering for it.

From what I read on that story the general opinion was that the guy was actually Dick Grayson, but both are possible.

Dick Grayson makes more sense.
