This isn't the first time I've seen this costume pop up on Ebay - it might not even be the highest price I've seen on it - so maybe not he best stock market alternative.

No certificate of authencity nor is there any other paperwork to go with the outfit, at $40k I would expect more than that, call me a sceptic but the lot does not ring true.

That's kind of the problem, without a certificate of authenticity (which can be obtained from a number of sources) there is no way to know that this is the genuine article. The indication on the label doesn't mean anything without the certificate.
