CW has green-lit a new show called Superman and Lois  which apparently deals with the joys of raising a baby (SuperBaby?) along with the usual Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Superman subplots.

Elizabeth Tulloch, the actress who has played Lois since Elseworlds last year and will be reprising the role for this show has described the pilot script as leaving her "breathless". On top of that, based on rumored casting sides looking for actors who can play a teen, they may do something that will cause Jonathan to age quickly or something to that effect. Basically looks like they want to cash in on the recent success of the teenaged version of the character. I admit, the book he co-stars with Damien Wayne is a pretty good read, so I wouldn't mind seeing more of that.

Not for me thank you.  Super Baby AHAHAHAHAH :D

The only one I will be following is LoT, I'm done with Flash, and left Supergirl a while ago.  As for Batwoman, lol.

Peace.

I don't know how they are going to write the series, but the idea of an infant/toddler/child/pre-teen/teen growing up Super is pretty intriguing. Assuming that's the way they do it.

Murdough's mention of casting for a teenage Jonathan Kent puts further emphasis on the possibility of a Growing up Super kind of story line.

I've been enthusiastic and then disappointed over many CW shows, but I remain optimistic that they'll eventually do a show that delights me. (But then, I am known to be an incurable optimist.)

Imagine a twentyish Kara Zor El crossing over to teach the ropes to an infatuated mid-teen Superman-to-be. You know, teach him the superstuff his Dad "forgets" to mention.

Based on our interactions on this board over the years Shadar, this is one thing I cannot disagree with you on :)

Never lose that trait my friend :)

Peace.

Well, make that sons, as in plural. As of Crisis, and the merging of Earths 1 and 38(at least), Lois and Clark are now the parents of two boys.

Too bad its two boys. A son and a daughter would make for a more interesting Growing up Super story. The experience of growing up female versus male is significant, and I'm sure when you're superhuman, that's even more so. Be nice to tell both stories.

Hopefully I'll get my Embassy Brat story done this week -- central to it are a pair of Velorian fraternal twins, boy and a girl, handling High School in very different ways.

Could we please keep the Crisis On Infinite Earth's Spoilers to the Crisis Spoilers thread?

Even the spoiler warning on the clip contains a picture and a heading that while I know it all happened and Oliver was going to end up dead, are spoilers in themselves.  i.e the clip itself is a spoiler even if I don't play it.

None of this was that big of deal (it's more the point) -- I was avoiding the Crisis thread, news, and trailers until I got a chance to watch the episodes...(which will be soon).

The problem is that you almost can't talk about the Superman and Lois show without dragging spoilers forward from Crisis. The show is essentially a spinoff from Crisis.

However, given that the "two boys" thing has been revealed, I will add some casting notes from the Superman and Lois show:

Well...  a recent casting call  for the Superman & Lois TV show asked for submissions for two 14-year-old boy roles. One is described as "clean cut, modest and kind-hearted, with an aw-shucks attitude [as well as] a three-sport athlete garnering attention from college and pro scouts," while the other is described as "a young Leonardo DiCaprio who has an inherent darkness to him," as well as someone with a "mercurial temperament and social anxieties who likes to spend his time playing video games over interacting with people."

I wonder how they get around the old Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex problem., And can the kids be just half-super?

The conception, pregnancy, and delivery occurred at Argo City, which has a simulated Kryptonian environment, which solved that issue.
