I might be wrong, but I believe that Ann Douglas was part of the Aurora Universe Writers Group.
Shadar or Brantley, can you confirm?

This Link is the website of a deceased member of the Aurora Universe writers group.
In it you can find the story as chapter 1 of story  supergirl. And it continues several chapters in which there are improvements of the supergirl couple.
It's one of my favorite stories from the Aurora universe.

The author is different, but I think it's a sequel.

I don't know why, but the link keeps disappearing.

In the middle, there is a folder called "Supergirl (by Ann Douglas and Alan)".

Anne Douglas wrote the original story and on that website, they correspond to episode 1. This Mr. Alan, I edit it and so the story continues. From episode 2. As a second part.

So SUPERGIL PART ONE, written by Anne Douglas is Chapter 1.

SUPERGIRL 2 PART are chapters 2 and following written by Alan.

Two of the original members of the AU Writer's group died back in the 90's. The first, Mac, who was a leading contributor to Experimental aviation, was doing a loop in a well-tested acrobatic biplane when the wing mysteriously came off. No Velorian showed up to save him, unfortunately. The second man, who was a big band leader down South, died suddenly under more mysterious circumstances. We were all a little paranoid for a bit.

Ann Douglas' work (part one of the story) was shared (the first I saw it) on one of the affiliated AU Writer's Group websites of the time. It may have come from somewhere else. The sequel was still quite good (imho), but Ann's part had a special feel that wasn't duplicated. Shame she didn't write anything more.

This is way-back stuff. 25 years ago or so.

My history with the AU isn't as ancient as yours, or theirs, but it must seem so today. It came to an end only three years ago, but by then to AU was only a shadow of what it had been when I signed on. And I don't know whether fans really ever cared about my attempt to create an epic AU history spanning at least a thousand years, or whether all they ever wanted was the super XXX parts. Nobody seems to be interested in history today, and super XXX can easily be found elsewhere....

Well, the AU was created initially to allow me to explore non-infringing Kryptonian'esq characters with an emphasis on how super powers mix with super-sexuality. Many other authors jumped in to try their hand within that framework. So it's not surprising that has remained its core in many people's eyes. Also that AU continuity and history are weak and often conflicting given it's only the current story that interests me at any given time. You tried hard to bring order and continuity and a sense of history to something that didn't have much of any of that in my hands -- just a suggestion of things that could be points in history.

Superpowers combining with supersexuality with a hefty does of world-building is more or less the same thing I like to write today, albeit with a more 'refined' style (although that might be arguable).

I'm working on Part 4 of the Jimmy story now, which started in a late 50's setting with DC Comics characters plus others I'm now adding that will crossover into the AU, and some others that are in neither universe. The multiverse concept (multiple dimensions of reality as I see it) is fun to play with, especially to cross-over different "universes" of characters. Most of my recent stories seem to be heading that way.

In the case of Jimmy, it's possible, even likely, that this story will end up with Kara Zor El going up against an Arion Prime or even a Velorian, with Jimmy in the middle somewhere. But then, I'm never entirely sure what the next part of a story will hold until I get there. When some new thought or outside concept or picture comes along that interests me, I tend to wander off down that path for a bit, even in the middle of a story.

Disciplined I am not.

We need a hall of fame. Put me down for a Shadar vote. I remember the early days of the internet and finding people with my same fringe interests. Wild West times.

I remember the first website with the red and white Aroura uniform. Those stories were formative for me in this whole genre.

I think this statement is applicable to most of the "old guard" around here.  The early days of the Aurora-verse were fun, and I remember when the original stories were release on the Amazon BBS WAYYYYYY long ago.  After that, I looked forward in anticipation to updates on indra.net which was Aurora's home for years.

To be honest, while the writing was probably more unrefined back then, I enjoyed the original stuff much more than the later heavier sci-fi influenced versions.  I guess I'm just "simple" that way.

Regardless, Shadar deserves a good piece of credit for helping all of us 'cratolognia' fans find each other on the internet!
