I'm not really a fan of Brie Larson's Captain Marvel. And no, I'm not one of those haters who goes after her on instinct or something like that. As a fan of the MCU movies and TV shows, I just think her character is kinda boring compared to most of the others.

I thought Ms. Marvel was a pretty good series, and I liked Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, so I am curious to see if this movie ends up being any good. The trailer looks entertaining, so it did its job. Now it's just a matter of whether the movie lives up to it.

I think Brie as Captain Marvel is a dud. She could pull off the comic versions but the films don’t bring her across the same way.

I agree with both commenters about Captain Marvel (and Brie Larson's portrayal) as being a dud. I was actually surprised how much I didn't like the character. 

But the ORIGINAL Ms. Marvel comic run was great. But that was another age. 

In the end, I guess I've always been more of a DC Comics fan. 

Still think the The Boys is the best comic book inspired show on TV or big screen. And I never saw the comic book.

My only big problem is they just showed Nick fury dealing with the Skrulls with the secret wars trailer so I don’t know when the marvels is so now I’m confused and I’m wondering did he take care of the Skrulls? Is nick fury a Skrulls in secret wars? Or does the marvels take place before that?

Odds are Secret Invasion takes place before the Marvels based simply on the fact that Secret Invasion is premiering on Disney+ June 21st, whereas the Marvels is hitting theaters on November 10th. Hell, Secret Invasion may very well lead directly into the Marvels for all we know.
