British actress KATE BECKINSALE wants to play WONDER WOMAN in the upcoming movie adaptation of the classic 1970s TV series.
The VAN HELSING beauty has been practising - she dressed up as the superheroine last year (04) for Hallowe'en - and she hopes BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER creator JOSS WHEDON will cast her in the prestigious role.
