Personally, I don't think they should make a movie. The concept worked much better over a longer time period than just the two hours you would have in a movie.

but don't forget its a franchise now

and that means the fans, and the story, can go to hell as long as the studio keep getting money out of the franchise

if there is a movie we'll be lucky if half the original cast return
luckier if there's a half-passable script
