Roger Corman's attack of the 50 foot Cheerleader was created by AJF

This upcoming film is going into production soon and is being promoted at the Amrican Film Market this year. It stars Trat Williams and Sean Young, with the title role being played by model/pagent queen turned actress Jena Sims.

The film is about a young woman who take an experimental serum that increaes her strength, durabilty and looks with the side of effect of making her grow in size.

It's been reported that the film will be released in 3D?!
I bet this film makes it's debut on Syfy next year, since so many of Corman's recent films show up on that channel.

Is he still in the business ? I thought he had retired (his myspace is not updated since years plus he's really old, I think 85 now !)

Well duh, better ! I hope he releases also the other movies which are on hold since years ^^

No way! Attack of the 50-Foot Cheerleader is the title of a (fictitious) movie that's referenced in a story I'm writing for the current workshop. (In the story, a super-heroine battles various monsters from 1950's scienvce-fiction movies.)

I read about this at moviehole.com. Jena Sims has guest stared on shows lkie Entourage and Vampire diaries. Not much acting experience. She was a fromer Miss Teen USA contestent back in 2007.

Yeah, she was Miss Teen Georgia and apparently a Bulldog fan. Not sure if I can say I like her knowing that!

Still, quite attractive girl! Will post more info as I get it....

Jena Sims has a Twitter page. She says she is working on a Project In LA right now, but won't revel it's name. She posted a pic from the set of her standing next to a giant spider, with the quot of " nothing says roger corman more than a giant spider".

The movie now has an IMDB page devoted to it. Jena Sims keeps posting pic from the set on her twitter page.

It was promoted and screened this weekend at SDCC. It's going to air on Epix on Aug.25. A a short trailer was released over the weekend, you can check it out on Youtube.

It looks really corny.

An interesting bit of Ubergirl trivia is that one of the cast is Sasha Jackson who is the main ass-kicking babe at Kick Ass Kandy.

Not that I don't appreciate a good transformation scene that includes a hot chick, even if it's gts. But I'd really like they say super instead of bigger

I have it...watched it....was ok and very Roger Corman B-movieish. Lots of T&A. Not much in the strength department, though Cassie's slow transformation shows her gaining obviously added jumping ability and confidence in a few scenes. In terms of the AOTFFW ripofffs, I'd place this one below "Attack of the 60 ft Centerfold" if that gives you some idea....

This movie sounded a bit more like an "Attack of the 60 ft Centerfold"-ripoff due to the plot being much more similar to this than the original AOTFFW (of which I've only seen the remake). Not that this is a bad thing, because it seems a bit more believable plot-wise. The transformations are a bit inconsistent as Cassie seems to be in quite some pain while her rival visibly enjoys them - not to mention the whole magic clothes things that are going on which is a bit strange considering the amount of naked flesh that's been seen here.

Overall I enjoyed it, though.

Seems like a fun movie.

As a side note, you guys are talking about AOTFFW ripoffs like there are stacks of them, I'm I missing something? I can only think of 3 (remake, centerfold, this one).

So if there are some hidden ones out there please enlighten me

Two that come immediately to my mind, though not exactly AOTFFW rip-offs, are "The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock" (1959) and "Village of the Giants" (1965).
