Most enthused about this movie! I'm also amazed how Lfan had this video posted sooner than most knew about it.

I hope the previews are not 80# of the action SG sees in the entire movie.

I do think Lois seems a little flat for my vision of Lois - but I will reserve judgement. :)

I love the box art and wish SG was in it - so much so the video art is almost a let down.

Same scene, lots more uberness! They really portray Kara in this one as a teenage bad-ass!

Enjoy!

Yeah, that scene is great, love the whole first copter sequence. I pre-ordered this when that featurette was online briefly. John Noble made it worth my while, and any Supergirl bits were a bonus!

Well, that's one way to improve it, they didn't had that in the comic. This is based on one of my favorite stories, I actually started collecting because of this.

This could be the start of something good for the character - we'll see. I'm looking forward to it.

Got an early copy. And I'm sorry to say, but SG doesn't have a lot of scenes where she does cool stuff. It's the scene you see here and 3-4 ca 10s showings. SG in Superman/Batman Apocalypse got to do more.

The thing is, she does way more stuff here than in the original story this was based on. I mean way more. Frankly the comics were way deeper than this. I understand though why they left out a lot of parts because the original story tied closely with other succeeding arcs.

Haven't read the comic myself so I'll have to take your word for it. However, I still feel that Supergirl was severely underutilized in this movie and all her scenes felt like filler.

SG was created as a side kick for Superman. An insecure, emotionally fragile survivor of Krypton. That said, there have been periods in the comics when she doesn't live in Superman's shadow, but that hasn't made it to the screen. While I would have thought the general audience could handle a female with Superman's bravado and confidence, we keep getting crap like this movie.

Same story for WW, who can't get onscreen traction.

The studios persist in holding antiquated views of female power. Yet there are plenty of examples in sports where females can kick ass and be accepted by the public. Women's soccer teams, etc. it seems the comic books (and spin offs) are going to maintain "traditional views" of females long beyond the point where the general audience could handle more equality.

Just more of the same. A waste of money except for a few scenes that have already been shared here. Don't buy the movie expecting more. Bad movie.

We will have to continue to portray our own vision in stories.

Unfortunately, they were. That's why I'm glad those scenes were there.

What story was this based on? :cheer: gotta search

And yes, at first super girl was just a insecure side kick for superman... I like that in the last few years she is shown as more powerful than superman
